Fake images cut in on the blackmail racket the CIA is running.

I'm not sure what they're going to do about this. Open source AIs can be run on home computers, or can be hosted in places that the government can't reach.
I'm wondering if social media will eventually be pressured to remove all porn (and artistic nudity.)

Obviously they can't stop people from creating it, but they can charge people for possessing or sharing it the way they do with CP.

People can simply generate on the fly. You can only catch them with a camera in their home or hack their computer. Also does it really matter what people do if nobody gets hurt? The problem with real CP is that there are real victims. Which is probably part of the kick for the sickos. Money better spent looking into the people on Epstein's list.
On the flip side. You can now frame anyone you want. By generating a video of them. Yes we are already there. Ugly old men can look like hot 20 year old girls or whatever in real time.

Just in general and not addressing the minor aspect, I'm not sure deepfakes are going to matter much. It's going to just be like modern fakes where a head is pasted on another body, the information of what their body actually looks like is going to be missing. And you can't extrapolate accurately from the clothed form.
There was an art series of photographs by Spencer Tunick with women posing dressed and undressed that I think highlights the point. Here's one example (NSFW) The full gallery makes a better illustration of what I'm talking about if anyone is interested, but I'm sure most of us have experience with this in our lives anyway.
Edit: I think I got the artist wrong... I'll correct if I can find the right guy.

Her neck looks really wrong. Especially in the last one.
