There's a lot of claims about governments and secret societies "taking over" reddit and secretly controlling it. In most cases it's not that hard to test who actually pulls the strings. You pick one entity, note their "core principals and beliefs" and match those against the top posts of a given sub.
Here's a couple of tests from today (5/1).
First test:
Go to: https://www.reddit.com/r/popular/top/
and count "How many posts are critical of government X?"
You can obviously count a long ways, but I only looked at the top 50 because I'm lazy, and got these counts:
US: 0
Russia: 0
China: 13
Kinda speaks for itself.
raw data is always good:
some are real nasty, see: #22
2nd test:
Check out subreddits where the major players are in direct conflict, and see which one dominates:
2 glaring examples:
https://www.reddit.com/r/venezuela/top/
and
https://www.reddit.com/r/iran/top/
Notice how several Iran-posts celebrate the US killing of Gen Soleimani. Makes one wonder what kind of "iranians" run that sub.
Same for Venezuela. China supports the current leadership, while the US wants to replace it with Guiado.
Not surprisingly, r/venezuela supports violent & vicious regime change.
As far as I can tell, all r/[country names] line up strictly with the us state dept. Please feel free to prove me wrong.
Disclaimer: I'm a big Wikileaks supporter, and have seen up close what's been done to WL and Assange on reddit, so I have no doubt who's in charge of the show.
That's it for my late morning propaganda dump.
