I think religion can stop people from reaching a deeper spiritual experience, I don't know what the nature of god is, but I know what religion teaches us isn't the right one.

I usually have dreams of things to come. They are weird dreams about power, myself in different times and common events related to synchronicity. Because of that, I'm sure that destiny and a higher power exist to some extend, but it surely isn't what we are told since we were little, if I was chosen for a mission, why are so many others not that lucky? I refuse to believe in a just and fair god.

I like to practice active imagination in order to make sense out of the whole thing sometimes, I've seen things to come many times, althought right now I usually have nightmares. I wonder how different the spiritual experience would be if it wasn't because of the influence of the mainstream religions?

Damn, you couldn't be more right. No offense to people who are religious, nothing wrong with it... But I think your right.. Following a specific religion locks you into place for that. Instead of going out and find your own GOD and what he/she/it/ may be. I agree man. But I also have no problem with religion.

Yeah, I've found religious people that are very spiritual but I've also noticed that sometimes it has the opposite effect, that it can actually stop people from becoming more spiritual.

God is the first surveillance program and misinterpreted into a creator. Just theory here I'm open. Adding: For example god is always watching and will react accordingly. You can open chatboxes with god program via prayer and get shitty customer support. Apparently group prayer is a working thing, many customers complaining may have effect on the program just like now.
