One to three times each two week period.

During my late twenties to mid-thirties, it was once every three to six months. People, needs, and priorities change throughout life, IME.

Yeah, I feel pretty much the same with this. I'm just curious how the dynamic works for other people. Thank you for your response.

With my father, sometimes daily and sometimes I may go a few weeks. With my mother, I may go months without talking with her. She lives 40 minutes from me and my father lives 4 hours. My mother has, I'll say, more going on to which I have subconsciously stayed away from. I have always had good relationships with both of them, so like u/one1won said, I grew up and my life got busy with my own family. My wife keeps in constant contact with extended family 4 states away and is puzzled that I don't call my mother on a daily basis.

A couple of times a week. But, there's boundaries. She might be aware of things like my injury recovery. But, I don't share private things. I keep stuff too myself. My gf doesn't need to know my porn habits, or get access to my phone, for example.

With my Mom Feb 20, after my Dad died Feb 4 "with COVID", and once since then.

She's 75 and more afraid than most. Over the last 4-5 years she's pulled back and she doesn't see all the patterns connecting tyranny that I've been talking about since before COVID, but at least she knows that 9/11 was bullshit and that Israel is evil. Further, she was a science teacher and married to a doctor, with another doctor son. She saw first hand how Big Pharma destroyed my life yet still doesn't make the connection and still buys the scientism propaganda.

Like once a week now, but honestly when I lived out of state one time they didn't call me for 4 months + and that wasn't unusual.

Used to see them most days, I live close. You see each other too much though and there's nothing to talk about so everyone ends up glued to their devices. My mom loves her phone games.
