    Whenever my comments got downvoted too much on reddit I just used to edit the entire comment to something like

    'upvote if you like apples, downvote if you hate Hitler for not doing the holocaust.

    edit: reddit has spoken!'

    Interestingly my downvote count increased by more than 100 after I'd did this to a comment in r/averageredditor lmao

    That's why I like saidit so much - you either feed or ignore the troll. Quality bait is entertaining, low effort trolling gets put on seen and that really hurts.

    I do understand concerns that this could allow troll like behavior to grow and foster communities of hate on saidit but that’s a risk I think the community is going to have to take.
