I don't believe she's actually a "conservative" Republican (she wanted her wife to have an abortion), but as a socially conservative transwoman myself, I've had a similar experience. I've been called a "Fascist" and a "Nazi" for being pro-life, for being against illegal immigration, for being tough on crime — for having opinions the left disagrees with.

Yeah, people on the far-right can me jerks too, but most right-wingers don't go out of their way to insult and harass you like the left does.
