Lying is a sin but not a crime.

Drugs are a crime but not a sin.

Taking lives is entertainment and foreign policy but making lives is not.

Oh, so true. You say anything on the internet, people just post some link to an article by some obscure politically biased media outlet, presenting selective data and think they have refuted your position. It would take about 2 Minutes to google and find an article that says the exact opposite. Finding out the truth about something is usually difficult, and requires careful logical evaluation and comparison of different sources.

But would they not say that your sources are dubious? If the argument they present is not sound then you should be able to refute it. If you are simply claiming that it is not sound because you don't respect the source then you are a fool. No offense.

Many things can be valid from a multitude of diverse perspectives.

Is an apple red or round or a fruit? It can be all of the above - or none if it's a corporation.

So apparently this behavior predates the internet since he said this in 1945.

Only among the few who could read. :P

Or maybe it's a symptom of wartime hysteria. You can either suspect we're on the edge of another great war - or - realize that we've been on a slow roll into the World War 3 On Terror since 9/11. As no war is like the one before, due to the evolution of warfare technology, it would be foolish to assume the next great war would be similar to anything before.
