Does anyone have info on the operating budget of these cartals? I know it would be hard to calculate, but I'm interested in how they compare to each other in size.

Sinaloa is by far the biggest (and has the biggest area on the map). I assume they play ball with FBI/CIA which is why they're allowed to spread so far and wide, and traffic all those CIA drugs made in South America. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-40480405
