I'm sure there's a lot of corruption in the medical industry in the US. These article from the NYT covers up how children are given the wrong treatment.

Over 10,000 American children were medicated for ADHD despite the fact that they are still developing their social skills. Honestly even when people hit 20, their brain still hasn't fully developed, I find this completely absurd.

Apparently in cultures outside the anglosphere toddlers don't have the "terrible twos" because they aren't given choices.

If they aren't allowed multiple choices they can't get stressed over them.

We basically are asking these kids to constantly operate on a level of intelligence far above their capabilities and responsibility and then wonder why they breakdown.

Instead of open ended questions like "what do you want to eat," it's recommended you stick to an either/or instead, e.g. "would you like tuna casserole or spaghetti?"

I haven't tried it on a toddler, but it works on women.
