Like the title says, I don't believe Saidit will be a free speech platform based on what I've seen. I've been on saidit for over a year, and when I came here it seemed great, it seemed like a more open environment where people could disagree while being civil.

That changed in the last month when said started growing, and sawmagnora7 breaking with the pyramid of debate a rule he himself implemented, attacking people rather that argument by saying things like:

...and when someone makes accusations (so far unfounded) towards intent and character by saying: "He's a known shill." magnora worte:

I am starting to agree, and I am thinking about pulling the plug on him. Especially since in his comments he is always insulting everyone and calling them names, which is dragging discussion down the pyramid of debate repeatedly. He posts hyper-divisive right-leaning content, almost nonstop, like 20 posts a day. If anyone is turning saidit in voat, it is him

Effectively threatening to ban someone because their posts were "divisive"; "insulting everyone and calling them names," ironically when replying to a post that is doing exactly that towards the person he doesn't like; "dragging discussion down the pyramid of debate" something magnora7 himself is doing in the above mentioned posts.

When I pointed out magnora7 was making a jab at someone's character he replied:

It's not a "jab", it's a pointing out of a long-term pattern of behavior that is definitely dragging down discussion on the pyramid of debate. Noticing this stuff is kind of my whole job...

I'm merely pointing it out. Why are you blaming at me for pointing it out, instead of him for doing it?

Suddenly there's a Double Standard, it's not a personal attack when he does it.

Where there are double standards, there are really no standards.

Not only that, when I told him:

His reply was:

Well you thought wrong. This site used to be named antiextremes.com for a reason. It's not a free-for-all because we don't want to be voat either.

...and this is where I lost all faith. As saidit began to grow, specially in the last months, I came too see magnora7 as someone who'll become worst than spez, high on his new found power.
