Yeah, seem they think call someone "gay/faggot" is a way to prove themselves are straight ,and they believe being "straight" is far superior to "gay".

I suppose they are insecure about their sexuality and sexual ability.

Sexual dysfunction is very common nowadays,I often suspect that those people often name-calling others are gay is having some degrees of sexual dysfunction.
