An option to open a new tab for every link.

I find it easier to just press Ctrl+W to close the tab instead of pressing the 'go back' button. Can we get this option, please?

it's in preferences to open links in new windows.

Sometimes the most obvious things go unnoticed. I'd been looking for it for 15 minutes straight and couldn't find it lol

Power tip, check out "Middle mouse click to go back or close tab"-style addons for both Firefox and Chrome-based browsers.
Create a habit of opening links in tabs by middle-mouse, scroll by using middle mouse and go back/close tab with middle mouse. You can check out a link and go back with less than a flick of a finger.
It's a must have on laptops trackpads and as a workflow is better than regular mice with dedicated back buttons IMO.
