First of all it serves no purpose, since the post is not removed. The main issue is there's no confirmation, so it's very easy to hit by accident, especially on mobile. This can lead to mods potentially approving something that breaks the rules by accident, thereby making it look like they approve of it. Additionally, if an admin hits it it will interfere with the mod logs in that sub, and then the mods will think they aren't allowed to remove it.
It worried me a little bit back on reddit and sometimes I felt like they designed it that way on purpose to get subreddits they didn't like banned, with the excuse that mods were approving content that was against the rules. That's unlikely to happen here but I still think it can lead to confusion.
It should be a trivial change, and I may even make a pull request for it myself.
