I was reading up on the ongoing Tigray war, ethnic cleansing seems to be popular these days. It is interesting that they're portrayed vastly different in the media, although I'm not on reddit enough to see it there.

Indeed - and on Reddit there are Israel, Pakistan, India, and China 'groups' who will downvote and ban (as mods) certain posts that are critical of their countries. Saidit has potential as a site that can represent worldnews without these biases. I said something negative about BLM on reddit last I was there, next time I login I wouldn't be surprised if my inbox is absolutely filled with hate mail. Anytime I see over 20 replies waiting on reddit I knew I either said something that really resonated with people, or something they really hated, and the second is a lot easier to do.

Saidit has always seemed far nicer in that regard, although nobodies perfect... And you do seem to be a favorite target for some people here.
