applies scientific reductionism to society, but is severely tainted by intellectuals who are aiming to hijack the prestige of the hard sciences to support their own agendas. My counter-argument is illustrated by ants, another social organism class. Ant society is governed by interactive chemicals (smells), including pheromones. Analogously, humans are governed by culture, an interactive complex of relationships and institutions. The applicable sciences are statistics and psychology. Cultures are a mixture of individuals and groups, with plenty of diversity between. Variant cultures mix poorly, result is conflict. Resolution is to shrink societies into consensus enclaves that interact in epicentral ways via established conflict protocols aka treaties.
Implications and Critiques from Wikipedia (a socialist shill source)
Taylor: "priority of the individual and his rights over society" (tries to paint individualism black "defend in some sense")
Wolgast: "neglects the idea of the individual as unique and irreplaceable, valuable in virtue of their variety" (seems to support "diversity is strength" so treating all persons equally is unjust. Doesn't that justify (polite) racism and discrimination?)
"Those who question social atomism argue that it is unjust to treat all persons equally when individual necessities and circumstances are clearly dissimilar." Social Atomism and the Old World Order | wybkmch (a rare bit of honest truth for the wikpd, like the link, recommended 👍👍)
It's a serious mistake to simplify the concept of equality regards humans. They are obviously unequal on many regards, but as statistical components they can indicate good predictive results when collated adequately into approximately homogeneous collections (abstractions, eg. 'freedom'). (link sent Aug.20)
