No, let them see it immediately.

People need to know this stuff is here if they decide whether to use the site. Then they can choose to go elsewhere if they want to. Don't con people into using a site they don't agree with.

Also in the couple of weeks I've been here I've seen those people turn up in the comments of every sub. Hiding their subs will only make it seem more of a shock when they turn up in your post about crunchy peanut butter to tell you the juice is behind it.

Finally conspiracy theories often lead to racism but not always, don't conflate the two. You might be snobbish towards conspiracy theorists but that's no reason to declare they must be hidden. Particularly at the moment when we very do much have a small minority controlling the media narrative which doesn't fit reality at all.

2 percent of the population running 95% of the world media is no conspiracy, it's a fact. 2 percent running all the banks that are coming for your rent/mortgage/credit payment while you're forbidden to have a job in the middle of plandemic ...that's not a conspiracy, it's a fact... They will own your house, your business and your life and keep telling you on CNN how you're a white privileged homeless person, that's a fact of life these days, not a conspiracy.

[–]Jac0b777 33 insightful - 7 fun33 insightful - 6 fun34 insightful - 7 fun -  (7 children)

Many of the things you have just mentioned indeed are conspiracies, they are simply not conspiracy theories, but rather conspiracy facts.

Nothing personal to you, as you're not the only one that I've seen do this, but it's way too often that I nowadays see the word "conspiracy" conflated with "falsehood". Obviously there are, have been and will continue to be a multitude of conspiracies that are very much factual. The word conspiracy simply means: "a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful", it is not a synonym for something that is inherently false. Far from it. But these days the propaganda has been so effective that the word "conspiracy" has literally been conflated with the term "conspiracy theory" and ultimately with likely those theories that are least likely to be true (Flat Earth anyone?).

Either way, it's a semantic issue, but a highly relevant one nonetheless, one that should not be ignored in such discussions.

And funnily enough... the redefining of the word "conspiracy" was an actual conspiracy done by the CIA originally to counter criticism of the Warren report. Go figure.

[–]Desun 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

And then has been weaponized to discredit ever since.

[–]AFutureConcern 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I'm being pedantic, but if conspiracy is "a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful", if it's known and out in the open, doesn't it cease to be a conspiracy?

[–]Jesus 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well no, because they still conspired and are conspiring. It's still a secret to most people.

[–]fartwaffen 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No that's an actual conspiracy.

They own the businesses that told everyone to shut down, they own the businesses that weren’t allowed to shut down.

And my fellow Americans wouldn’t along with it.

In case anyone wants, here is a look into the details and some of the reasons for this, including the IQ explanation.

[–]Extract 8 insightful - 4 fun8 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 4 fun -  (5 children)

Haha stupid niggers are poor because of their low IQ, they deserve to be where they are

NOOOOOO JEWISH PEOPLE CANT BE SUCCESSFUL BECSUCE OF THEIR HIGH IQ IT MUST BE A CONSPIRACY, NEOPATISM IS RAMPANT THEY'RE STEALING OUR HIGH POSITIONS NOOOOOOOOOOO

On a side note, notice how despite black people being pretty favorable towards other blacks in the USA, those same arguments fail to apply to them?

[–]Prism 8 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

On a side note, notice how despite black people being pretty favorable towards other blacks in the USA

That's an extremely interesting take when you consider this document that was released by the DOJ, that shows that through 1980 to 2008 that 93 percent of black people who are murdered are murdered at the hands of other black people. There's a graph on page 13 that visualizes this and gives actual stats instead of feelings n sheit.

Black people are largely overrepresented in violent crime almost EVERYWHERE they are, regardless of how much of the population they make up. That's largely against other black people too.

But please do continue explaining how being largely responsible for the pain and suffering of your own people should be construed as being "pretty favorable" toward them.

Obviously it's whitey's fault right?

HE WAS A GOOD BOY WHO DINDU NOTHING. EVERYBODY IS JUST RACIST N SHEIT.

The Albanian Mafia practically dominate Albania and, these days, even Macedonia.

Does that mean, by your hilarious attempt at a snarky 'gotcha' comment, that the Albanian Mafia are comprised of high-IQ geniuses? After all, they are very successful in accumulating power and wealth. If not, care to explain why the Albanian Mafia succeed despite lacking superior IQ, but that Jewish success can still be traced to their supposedly superior IQ? I think it's pretty obvious that Jews succeed for the same reasons that the Albanian Mafia succeed.

And let's face it, you aren't going to be able to worm your way out of this predicament.

[–]Extract 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Seems like you're trying for the same 'counter gotcha' type of comments with absolutely zero points.

An unrelated mafia dominates a country? Well that means DA JUICE ARE ONLY SUCCESSFUL CAUSE THEY ARE A MAFIA HAHAHA LETS SEE YOU WORM YOUR WAY OUT OF THIS ROCK SOLID ARGUEMENT

[–]noice 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's not all explained by IQ

https://www.unz.com/ishamir/unz-goes-nuclear/

And I saw another analysis by a Finnish blogger some months ago which said that even IF the higher average IQ were true, it still wouldn't explain the overrepresentation. I will try to find it, but that link is likely to be obscure and difficult to find.

If anyone is reading this and knows the article I'm talking about, please reply.

[–]AFutureConcern 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

On a side note, notice how despite black people being pretty favorable towards other blacks in the USA, those same arguments fail to apply to them?

They don't fail to apply; obviously without black ethnocentrism black people would be less successful than they are.

So the argument is perfectly consistent - high ethnocentrism in both blacks and Jews causes them to have higher levels of success than otherwise relative to whites who have low ethnocentrism. IQ differences between the groups has a larger effect, though, so overall blacks still have lower success, and Jews have even more success than their ethnocentrism allows.

[–]Themagicalmidget 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Pretty much this. They have an iq about 10 points above the norm. This is like saying because white people are typically more successful then black people it's because of our in group. No, it's because our culture values personal responsibility, education, and business more and Jewish people are like white people on steroids in that regard.

[–]PRSanon 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, you didn't read the article. IQ isn't nearly enough to explain such high overrepresentation. A culture of hard work isn't a great explanation either. IQ's heritability gradually increases to somethibg like .8 as a person reaches adulthood, it's not environmental.

Most likely, it's nepotism combined with a bit of conspiracy at the highest elite levels. They seem to historically be good at it.

[–]whistlepig 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Its a fact. And a conspiracy. The word "conspiracy" IS NOT a synonym of the word "fiction".

Other than that little pet peeve, I'm totally on board with your comment. ;]

All because the Bible says that they are God's chosen ones, who shall work as lenders but never borrowers, who shall rule over people but never be ruled over. That's the absolute epitome of Jewish Supremacy.

Most are not conspiring at all. It's hard coded usury, profit chasing and grab for power.

    [–]Locke[S] 14 insightful - 6 fun14 insightful - 5 fun15 insightful - 6 fun -  (55 children)

I never stated antisemitism and conspiracy theories are related, I said neither should be prominently displayed. I'm not "snobbish" for disagreeing with "alternative facts" and you can go off and pretend I am all you want. This might as well be called right wing Reddit and you're certainly not convincing me otherwise. Two different kinds of Internet cesspools. Lovely.

I'm theoretically supposed to be able to call out what I disagree with here. So are you. Go ahead and go off, call me whatever you want, IDGAF. I see the echo chambers are already working here similarly to Reddit and I'm disappointed. Maybe I shouldn't have expected better.

Unless the mods start caring so many people will be turned off by this site there's no way it will be able to compete with Reddit. Let people leave if they don't agree with everything? That's certainly not in the rules. Is this about free speech or not? Do we want something with actual mass appeal or not?

By all means say whatever you want, but that doesn't mean everyone wants to see it.

    [–]wristaction 39 insightful - 6 fun39 insightful - 5 fun40 insightful - 6 fun -  (29 children)

In summary, you want the mods to ban people from discussing a certain topic which is also banned on every other platform including reddit.

    [–]Locke[S] 7 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 4 fun -  (28 children)

I never said ban it. I said don't prominently display it on the front page.

    [–]magnora7 39 insightful - 10 fun39 insightful - 9 fun40 insightful - 10 fun -  (27 children)

How exactly do you expect an admin to do that? You want me to fake the upvote counts to diminish something? Not doing that, sorry.

What are you actually proposing here?

    [–]Turnaround 10 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 2 fun -  (22 children)

Maybe we can not include some of the more.. "out there" or "distasteful" subs in /all ?

I'm a conservative, but coming on here seeing blatantly racist content is turning me off. I personally didn't leave reddits obvious extreme left wing bias to be surrounded by obvious extreme right wing bias content. But in the interest of letting those people have their place, let's keep it to those that are subscribed to their subs.

    [–]whistlepig 17 insightful - 3 fun17 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

That is how the internet is and has always been. Maybe you should go back to just using AOL.

    [–]Jesus 3 insightful - 4 fun3 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

    Or ADL.

    [–]magnora7 15 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 2 fun -  (14 children)

That's fair, that's basically our policy right now, except how "out there" or "distasteful" something is is judged entirely by how frequently it drags discussion down the pyramid of debate: https://saidit.net/static/PyramidDebate.jpg

I suppose I could tighten that up a bit, but then some people get angry that their free speech is being limited and fear that I am becoming the very censorship we created this place to escape, so it's always a balance.

    [–]Jesus 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Base it on pyramid of debate only. Don't start implementing a distasteful gauge. Lots of people distaste all kinds of things.

    [–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's how it is, and that's how it shall remain.

    [–]PrisonMike 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Did you ever kick the idea around of somehow implementing the debate pyramid in the voting system?

    [–]magnora7 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah like if you could vote what level a comment is on a mini pyramid instead of the voting buttons, that'd be cool. It'd take a big re-write of the code though, to add more than 2 categories of votes.

    [–]Jesus 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That would be so cool. I'd love that.

    [–]PrisonMike 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ya I figured it would. Maybe it could work in a more roundabout way like the gild/award system in the platform-which-shall-not-be-named.

    [–]everythings 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Way better to err on the side of less censorship than more. People who really want to be free will suffer the consequences of freedom and people who want their safe echo chambers with flee back to reddit and demand this site be nuked from the internet

    [–]Extract 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Is blocking specific subs/users going to be possible soon?
Cause if the answer is yes, you got the solution for this.

    [–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

    You can mute subs.

    [–]Extract 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Then those users got half of what they need.
Any subs that offend their sensibilities can be muted - add in the user option, and they can have their echo chamber.

    [–]magnora7 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Eventually, hopefully yes that will be a feature. It's basically at the top of our to-do list

    [–]jet199 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

My point is that those people don't stay in their subs though.

You probably haven't been hanging out on the far/alt right subs, have you?

Most of the places you will have seen racist posts will be s/politics, s/worldnews, etc. You can't hide all subs like that and only have fluffy kittens on the front page. People mostly come to sites like this for the news and debate around it.

I have to also say I did often see the same level of racism on reddit, but it was often covered in weasel words. So rather than saying the jews were evil and behind everything they would say big pharma/ the banks/ the porn industry was conspiring against us then say "I wonder which group of people run those companies, I'm sure it's just a coincidence". Those comments would always get up voted on reddit and is I'd usually be the only one reporting them, I really hope that was down to the stupidity of casual readers.

So this is why I prefer it to be open. You hate to see the racist posts, good, that's a good and healthy reaction. However on reddit you may have well have been upvoting that same person's post, saying exactly the same thing just written in a more manipulative way. That is so dangerous. Yes, it feels better but you need to show it actually leads to better outcomes rather than allowing a more insidious political grooming.

    [–]Fitter_Happier 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

those people don't stay in their subs though.

Well, tough titty. Neither do you. I don't want you in this sub. How do I go about banning YOU from the public square? I'd feel a lot safer if you just kept your mouth shut. You're making me uncomfortable.

    [–]Jesus 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    [–]kokolokoNightcrawler 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Atho I don't agree with it, IP2 asked to be removed themselves and GenderC keeps banning people for simply being different, having "wrong think" on and off their sub.

    [–]Jesus 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's becuase literally everything posted there is an ad hominem.

Conspiracy posts are full of real facts and debates.

    [–]Locke[S] 8 insightful - 7 fun8 insightful - 6 fun9 insightful - 7 fun -  (9 children)

If you don't like my content leave the post. You don't like being told that, I bet, so why bother telling me? This site is supposedly about open debate, not trying to intimidate people you disagree with into leaving. Come back when you have some actual debate.

    [–]Extract 24 insightful - 4 fun24 insightful - 3 fun25 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Thing is, you are not debating - you are saying "people (implying yourself as well) are going to leave unless a specific type of content gets censored (and yes, supression is censorship)".

The other person said what most of us agree with - people who want to leave unless something they dont like is censored (be that you or not) can as well get the fuck out right now and save themselves some time.

If you dislike specific comments in a thread, take the time to call them out (or debank them), or upvote comments doing so.

If you dislike the content of the front page, upvote better posts.

Like it or not, those conspiracy theorists are creating actual content for this site, while all you are doing is bitching about them.
Ironically, the very solution to this would be for you to create and upvote better content.

It is you who are calling for censorship. It is you who are whining about the content you don't like. It is you who have the problem and it is you who are trying to intimidate me, here and now by again playing as a victim. How do you suggest dealing with ugly truths like Jewish people dominating our media? AIPAC requiring any presidential candidate kiss its ring? And a thousand more?

These things aren't wacko conspiracy theories. They are real. They are also being silenced, which is why they appear here.

Do you know what the word antisemitism means? It means being hostile towards a Jewish person. Hostile means unfriendly. By definition, antisemitism has nothing to do with racism, but it has been skewed to mean racism towards Jews. But essentially, you are telling people they aren't allowed to be unfriendly toward a Jewish person. Now that's the epitome of Jewish Supremacy.

If Jews are a race, then we should just use the word racism to describe anyone who views Jews as inferior based on their race or who treats Jews poorly simply based on their race.

Unfortunately it appears that reddit has kicked out a lot of these people (serious racists, white nationalists, and anti-semitists).

They migrated to voat and took it over. Now voat is just an utter cesspool.

This platform was pretty good and had useful and thoughtful discussion, the way reddit did 10 years ago.

I don't know what the solution is, but it appears that a completely free-speech platform will inevitably go to the same path that voat did. This is well-poisoning. You have 3% of the worst of the worst... loud-mouth and awful human beings. And you give them a loudspeaker.

    [–]Extract 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The solution is for you to create and upvote better content.

If you (and others like you) cared half as much about that as the people you whine about care about their content, it wouldn't even reach /s/all

I am participating. I made a thoughful, well-reasoned statement. I upvote thoughtful, well-reasoned statements. I mod a subverse here and post new content to it that is interesting and educational. Calling every single person a concern troll is unhelpful.

But after experiencing the dictatorial censorship of Reddit? Heck, I'll take racist idiots over censorship every day.

    [–]cybitch 51 insightful - 7 fun51 insightful - 6 fun52 insightful - 7 fun -  (11 children)

I used to feel the same way, until I saw reddit being overtaken by anti-white rhetoric. Now I don't believe in wokeness anymore, I don't think any of this SJW stuff was ever really about equality and creating a more harmonious society at all, it was about using race to pit the lower class against each other. None of these slimy activists give a fuck about anyone else, really, it's about dividing people even further so they can be pitted against one another. To make sure there will always be an underclass, and to keep people walking on eggshells around each other to make sure they don't end up being part of it. Now I want to see sites where everyone can speak. People should get used to the fact there is more than one way to view the world. You don't have to brainwash yourself to follow their rules in order to be allowed to express yourself. Seems like the woke cult are doing all they can to make it seem otherwise.

    [–]FediNetizen 10 insightful - 3 fun10 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

Now I don't believe in wokeness anymore, I don't think any of this SJW stuff...

Same with most of the people here, including myself. But people that think the Jews control everything are a small minority, and that stuff is a turnoff to most people. If your goal is to build a site with broad appeal, then that shit needs to be opt-in.

    [–]bobbobbybob 14 insightful - 3 fun14 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

We DON'T CARE what YOU THINK.

you don't get to police free speech outside of the existing rules of the site. If you don't like it LEAVE.

If you truly think that people are wrong when they point out Chabadist or Zionist Jewish involvement in whatever the issue is, then DEBATE IT. That's the joy of free speech. Debate, facts, ideas, all get tested in a smelting pot of conversation. Good ones live, bad ones die. Naturally.

I'm Jewish, by the way, so fuck you you speech NAZI

    [–]noice 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I'm not sure about what /u/magnora7 thinks, but I surmise that creating an effective debate website open to all ideas, is a higher goal than creating a broadly appealing website. Audience is important to consider, but free sharing of ideas is paramount here.

    [–]magnora7 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, but we're also not going to let it degrade in to a voat-like website, so it can't be a total free-for-all either. It's a constant balance. Popularity is not our top goal though, that is true.

    [–]Chipit 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

"Jews control everything" is an absurd absolute argument. "People of Jewish ethnicity have a disproportionate amount of control over the mainstream media" is a better argument. Jeffrey Epstein was Jewish. As is Harvey Weinstein.

    Couldn't have said it better.

The SJW niche crowd was simply a means to an end. To divide with extremes. I bet a lot of it was manufactured. But I can't blame them, it isn't their fault.

Someone, some entity wants us fighting our own people. Case in point, bailouts and welfare. A neighbor is angry at a person that gets better health access/coverage and welfare. But yet is totally fine voting again in a president who enacts corporate welfare bailouts of billions of dollars in his own money.

Even if I get annoyed at the occasional racist post on Reddit, it's tolerable because it makes up such a small percentage of the content. On Saidit it's a lot more prevalent, and a lot harder to brush aside.

    [–][deleted] 24 insightful - 4 fun24 insightful - 3 fun25 insightful - 4 fun -  (37 children)

As a jew myself, even one who has lived many years in Israel i naturally feel invested in all the antisemitism. That being said, the issue to me is that clearly a lot of people feel this way... that's what matters. Thinking you're solving anything by stopping people from expressing how they feel seems childish to me. And that desire also seems to come from a place where people feel intimidated. Maybe they're right about a lot and so them being able to speek freely about it is a good and important thing. Maybe they're crazy and sad losers in which case no one should feel intimidated by what they have to say.

    [–]yayblueberries 15 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

Right? It amazes me how much we supposedly live in a country where everybody loves screaming "free speech" and then they all want to silence the first opinion they see that they hate. All that does is silence somebody who is probably already quite angry about something, which is only going to make them more furious, and fuel their hatred. No wonder this country is so full of very extreme people at this point.

    [–]FediNetizen 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (14 children)

If that "amazes" you, then I suspect, you don't actually understand what free speech is.

There are four fundamental aspects to free speech:

    1) The right to speak 2) The right not to speak 3) The right to listen 4) The right not to listen

An individual or community is free to reject whatever views they like. That's part of the 4th freedom. A church is free to either limit or outright reject the speech of atheists. A feminist club is free to limit or outright reject men's rights activists. And an online community is free to limit or outright reject whatever views it likes.

    [–]Uncle-Ruckus 12 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

And an online community is free to limit or outright reject whatever views it likes.

Funny you say that when the site admins outright state they do not want to censor anyone. And it is their right.

    [–]FediNetizen 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Is it censorship when a newspaper pushes a hot take to the opinion section? Neither I nor the OP are arguing that they should be banned. Just that they shouldn't be on the front page representing saidit.

    [–]Extract 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

The front page is shaped by user votes.
If it's "representing" saidit, it's because the majority is upvoting them over other posts.

As this and the other post calling such posts out has more upvotes, it also shows there is a majority of lazy fucks who could change what's on the front page, but the only thing motivating them enough to vote isn't good or interesting content - it is a post that bitches and whines about others.

    [–]bobbobbybob 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

yep. creating interesting content is the answer. Fill saidit with what you love, because you can't downvote what you hate into oblivion. /u/magnora7 did a great thing with the voting system.

    [–]Uncle-Ruckus 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You are advocating for views you don’t agree with to be intentionally excluded from and be treated differently on online forum. That in itself is censorship. Your analogy doesn’t even make complete sense. If there was a pro LGTBQ front page tab and anti gay posts were filtered from there that’d make sense. The only reasonable option is a personal content filter, or an option to be to have cuss words or derogatory words censored with asterisks, like f***. You are doing no favors to yourself by limiting what views others are allowed to promote.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You're not distinguishing between a PLATFORM and an EDITOR. Saidit and similar sites are (or pretend to be, in reddit's case) PLATFORMS for the exchange of ideas. As such, the platform takes no responsibility for its users' view. This is also why Google, Facebook and other censorship sites may well lose their "platform" status and become known as "editors". Currently they are behaving like editors but enjoy the advantages of platforms. That may well not last.

Anyway, you are confusing the two. They are very different.

Well it was a really stupid point, then. If you don't understand the difference between not being able to buy food at a grocery store because of something you can't control like race, and getting kicked off a website for behavior which you can control, then you don't understand the issue.

everybody loves screaming "free speech" and then they all want to silence the first opinion they see that they hate

Thing is, I believe most Americans with deep roots here don't feel this way. We've had 1A since forever and it's ingrained in our souls that Free Speech is ESSENTIAL to a free society. All this "White Fragility" bullshit is just that, bullshit. If you can't say what you think you don't have any freedom and you can't make anything better.

    [–]FediNetizen 4 insightful - 4 fun4 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 4 fun -  (9 children)

It's not about stopping people from expressing how they feel, it's about making it clear that those views don't represent this site. If people want to have that discussion, that's fine. Just do what we do with other subs that ban people for dissenting opinions, and don't have it show up on the frontpage by default.

    [–][deleted] 11 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

it's about making it clear that those views don't represent this site

Isn't that the mentality where you assume everywhere is an echo chamber? It's not the site's fault if some people are so used to echo chambers they can't imagine that this place isn't an echo chamber.

    [–]FediNetizen 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

An echo chamber is a place where a particular (usually fringe) perspective has reached majority consensus and dissenters are shouted down. Most people find racism to be distasteful, so having racism shoved in their face will push them away from the site, and eventually this site will end up being another right-wing echo chamber like Voat.

You don't have to actual ban racist content to solve this problem, you just make it opt-in like other sites do for porn or other controversial/adult content.

    [–]bobbobbybob 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    you are not listening.

You have no right to police what is spoken about here, or to police how the site may or may not be perceived by anyone else, outside of the existing rules of the site.

We sometimes like talking about the jewish question. And sometimes we have to live with crazy kikes like myself calling other people 'kike' for shits and giggles. Well, ex-kike, I guess, as I embraced our messiah, Jesus, and left the synagogue of satan behind.

And I should be allowed to talk about it, be seen to talk about it, and be seen to have people challenge my views with DEBATE, not CENSORSHIP.

go back to reddit, you don't belong here. Or take a big deep breath, grow up, and counter anything you perceive as 'anti-semitism' with rational debate, facts etc.

    [–]Fitter_Happier 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    don't represent this site

This site is not a publisher. Jesus, have you paid no attention to the whole section 230 debate?

If a discussion forum site starts editing comments it has become a publisher and loses the rights of a platform.

I wouldn't say i've been hiding it but what you might've missed is that i'm an individual before i'm a jew. And so it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to predict everything about me just because i'm a jew. Kinda like the martin luther king line about judging people as individuals and not by what their ethnicity is.

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Was it the jews who put highly sentient creatures in gas chambers? You know that when you're a senior in high school in Israel, it's very common to go on school trips to Poland to visit the concentration camps there. The ones i remember visiting were Auschwitz, Majdanek and Treblinka. Got to see the furnaces and this mountain of ashes that still exists. But the craziest thing that left the biggest mark on me were the gas chambers. Where you could still see scratch marks all around the walls. So who are really the demons in that story?

The truth is that maybe we just are superior in some sense at least. And maybe jews used their superiority in dumb ways like assimilating with non-jews, becoming more successful than non-jews, outcompeting non-jews in general in terms of money and women. And so obviously the non jews just got more and more jealous which led to the holocaust... at least that's what makes sense to me from my experience.

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Ah, there you are, I recognize you now. The master of lies. The living, breathing lying through every cell of its body, humanoid parasite. The demons are those who tried selling the rest of us their story about 6 million dead for about a century before 1930. Here are only the last 30 years of that, but still enough to get an idea: https://www.bitchute.com/video/InfoisVbVuFc/

Have you heard of David Cole? Have a watch: https://www.bitchute.com/video/o3kAb3Znwv6s/

Imagine a person who hasn't visited the concentration camps telling a person who has visited them that it wasn't real.

It's like if you really think we're not human, we're demons and whatnot... then why are you ashamed of the holocaust? Shouldn't you be proud and happy that your nazi friends successfully killed so many jews and shouldn't you hope to continue their work? Or do you not hate jews so much after all?

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Oh no. I don't hate Jews. I am above such vile feelings. I feel sorry for them. I feel pity for them. Disgust at them. They are like thalidomide babies: you don't HATE them. You might vomit looking at them, just as I might vomit looking at a jew's "soul".

But no hatred. I keep the hatred for the forces you have embraced to become what you are. In this way, I am your friend. Much more than any of you could ever be mine.

Free speech is the main philosophy of Saidit. Feminists are the most active here. Not sure why you identify white advocacy first though. They are probably the most active clique too. Main topics are free speech, reddit sucking, not liking politicians, and males aren't females.

There's a bunch of bitter oldfags like myself, who like to mock, moan, belittle and occasionally engage in interesting debates when someone is up for it.

Damn, that really is a relevant username.

I'll share a conspiracy theory of my pwn with you.

What if I told you, that the last refugee wave was large enough for some propoganda organizations to put this site on their radar?

What if I told you the concern trolls posting those threads/comments are the first wave of shills, whose goal is to slowly corrupt this site the same way most platforms (like many subreddits, in their time) get corrupted?
Notice how most of those concern trolls highlight problems that could actually be solved by their own participation - but, that would actually help the site, while their goal is clearly to (slowly) undermine it.

They will also cite the new influx of users as a good thing, and threaten it ends if $demandList isn't met, while in reality much of this activity is artifically created by those shills (not most votes, just the early spike that makes it visible enough for other people to upvote it for the sake of discussion).

This isn't going to stop, by the way - this is only going to get worse the more popular this site gets.

These fags can go back to Reddit at any time, but insist on searching the internet out for places that say things they don't like so they can get those things banned. Control freaks at their very cores.

    Let me list a few
    mainstream conspiracy theories:
    The russia-gate (any side).
    The impeachment (any side)
    Science around the Hydroxychloroquine
The Black Lives Matter / Antifa looting, burning, (and murder)
    Cover-up of police violence
Or the evidence for the lab origin of the virus
The bombing of Iran by Israel, trying to start a war..
The White Helmets (who are also known to be extremists)
The bad state of the US voting system
The trillions of covid-19 funds going into big business
The covid spying-app that does not more damage than good.
The censorship of scientists and doctors by Youtube/Google and more.
The manipulation of information by big corporations.
The censorship of criticism on gender-ideas and other extreme left viewpoints
The coming economic breakdown of society
    Etc.

This is because our news is filled with narratives and propaganda,
and has stepped away from basic reality.

This is caused by the centralization of power in both the US and EU.
In a real democracy, the civilians tell the government what they should do. But now the governments are dictating the civilians what they should do.
And the international corporations, are directing (or paying) the people in the governments to do their bidding.

I just posted a "what's up with..." post on AskSaidit on the same subject. I can understand criticizing a government but a lot of this stuff on the site is blanket statements about people.

    [–]Locke[S] 10 insightful - 5 fun10 insightful - 4 fun11 insightful - 5 fun -  (5 children)

And blanket statements are clearly spelled out as against the rules, yet these posts not only stay up, the subs are automatically subscribed to and prominent on the front page. I'm not holding my breath on Saidit not having similar corrupt moderation issues as Reddit. I don't care if a shit sandwich is right wing or left wing extreme, it's still a shit sandwich. I'm very politically moderate and feel just as unwelcome here as on Reddit. If this account gets banned I'll certainly know why.

They make a lot of points, but leading to what?

This is a good question, maybe the best one.

I don't want any harm to befall Jewish people. But I want them to stop their war on us.

You can't fix what you can't talk about. And Jewish collective power has played an enormous role in getting us to where we are today. This is just the painful reality.

Speech bans on social media, for example. These only became normalized in recent years at the behest of Jewish censorship institutions like the Anti-Defamation League, the juggernaut that pressured Twitter to create their Orwellian "Trust and Safety Council" in the first place.

I understand that even the word "Jew" is triggering for some people, but we are going to have to find ways to productively talk about the global effects of Jewish collective power and Jewish insecurity, without constantly being accused of diminishing their humanity.

Yeah, that's a bit of a reach. Identifying the cause of a problem is part of overcoming it, not genociding a race.

Although Chabad.org did host a piece discussing how soon after their return to israel (not zionists, so they are waiting for the messiah) they can start genociding the goyim.

I can't 'sell you', all I can do is recommend research. Get into the chabadi websites, learn what they believe. Listen to their conversations.

Even Hitler didn't plan to kill all the jews, his 'final solution' was to deport to madagascar. Its all there, in the documents.

Genocide is a distinctly tribal belief.... the Shoah something that they all get a hard on about because of prophecy, which is why every hosting civilisation has been at the receiving end of their holocaust propaganda. always with 6 or 6 or 666 million dead.

The actual holocaust, was the babies that the jews fed to moloch in 'burnt sacrifice'.

No one who calls out 'kike' is promoting murdering them. Well, no one that I know. There's always a few absolute loonies, who often have jewish blood.

? what do you mean? Of course we shape society around immutables, otherwise society doesn't fit.

Or are you saying that jews are smarter and that is why they control positions of power? The response to that is jews are CORRUPT and that is how they concentrate power.

Watching them swindle their own god (hello, Talmud) more supports the latter.

            Here's how it is.

The Right was kicked off Reddit first. Thus they came here and to similar sites first. Idiotic Leftists who agree with each-other on 99/100 things were kicked off Reddit next, because they disagree with the Left on, oh, 1/100 things. You see, you have to agree on 100/100 things to be a good Leftist.

The latter groups effectively want a 'Reddit minus the mainstream Left that kicked us out, the Left left us, we didn't leave them!!!', which is precisely what the OP wants. He has a 2 day old account which, oh yeah, already effectively calls for deplatforming the Right. Let's face it, you're a Leftist who is just mad that the rest of the Left don't like you because of your belief on a select issue.

So now, there will now be a battle between the established Right and the flood of Leftists coming here (particularly the recent GenderCritical and various 'LGBTQIAXYZ but I have a problem with one single letter so I'm going to form my own group that excludes them' communities). Because Leftists are overwhelmingly the majority, you'll have another Leftist echo chamber in short order. Except that this will be a particularly vicious one full of 'go back to Reddit' and 'screw you because I disagree on one single issue bigot' nonsense.

My advice for Leftists is simple: Drop whatever bigotries you have and then you'll be able to reintegrate into Reddit fine. There, you'll be contained, rather than spilling out like a contagious disease, and other sites won't have to worry about your incessant 'but you don't agree with me on 1/100 issues, so screw you bigot!' nonsense.

If you're GenderCritical, just drop the 'men can't be women' idea immediately. Pronto. You can't do it fast enough. That's pretty much the only reason why Reddit doesn't want you. If you do that, you'll be able to reintegrate into mainstream feminism and Reddit communities just fine.

If you're 'LGBdroptheT' just give up your 'transphobia' and you'll be able to reintegrate into Reddit and standard LGBT just fine.

And so on for all other Leftist communities. You can literally all do this if you just drop the one thing the rest of your diseased kind would gladly blow your head off over disagreeing about. Yes, men can become women. No, trans people are not 'erasing' other alphabet people. This is what the Left overwhelmingly and irreversibly believes now. Without a full-blown collapse, they will never go back to taking your side on those issues. Get with the times.

Of course alternatives include joining the right, or just being tolerant of other views and coexisting semi-peacefully.

            [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

f you're GenderCritical, just drop the 'men can't be women' idea immediately. Pronto. You can't do it fast enough. That's pretty much the only reason why Reddit doesn't want you. If you do that, you'll be able to reintegrate into mainstream feminism and Reddit communities just fine.

I don't think so. I'm never going back to a community that purposely targets women in subs, including subs regarding PCOS, just to police their language as to not "trigger" some pervert pedo furries in dresses. I'm not calling my vagina a "front hole" just to make deluded men in wigs happy.

Do I sound hateful? Well, prior to the REDDIT POGROMS, I wasn't. Now I don't trust transactivists, and I will always give every trans person I see the side-eye and distrust them... particularly the women-hating transwomen who like to hack, doxx and threaten people.

Reddit is filled with psycho transwomen, some have histories of HACKING THREATS AGAINST OTHER COMPANIES. Many of them gleefully go onto other social media platforms and threaten women with rape, punching, death, simply for disagreeing on the most minor of topics regarding the transgestapo agenda. Forget that. Reddit can keep it's "community".

I'm Jewish. I oddly enough almost appreciate the blatant open anti semitic posts because for most of my life I falsely thought we were way past this. It's important to see how real racism actually exists these days. When we pretend it doesn't exits and everything is perfect we get complacent and secure. People these days feel more free to be anti Israel because they think antisemitism is done and over with, but that is not the case.

When other people don't see actual racist speech towards groups they will say "what are you talking about?!! We solved this years ago?". On the other hand, I would really appreciate more interesting content here. I think if we have more interesting stuff and more commenters it might drown out the garbage in unrelated posts.

            I don't think it's really racism. It's anti-supremacy, anti-exceptionalism, anti-hypocrisy, anti-deception, anti-manipulation, anti-usury, anti-war, anti-victim-culture, and many of the other things rightly and/or wrongly attributed to the BEHAVIOR of the Jews and/or Zionists.

The strange thing is that a lot of this is true. People of Jewish ethnicity band together and hire each other. There are a huge number of them in the media. US foreign policy has been a disastrous mess in the Middle East for everyone but Israel. The Israelis have seen their rivals destroyed one by one by the US. Iran is the latest one. If Trump hadn't been in power there would today be a war against them, too.

This might be just my opinion, but I don't want any form of free speech shut down. I realize that if you let anyone say anything there will be some shocking stuff that will crosses our path, but who cares? Because we have free speech here, we also have the freedom to pick on and shun the people that don't think like the majority of us do. Would you rather go into that box that Reddit has set for people? Everyone should have a voice, and it's up to the majority to decide if we will laugh and shun that voice out of our society. This is how societies should function. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to let a handful of people with power dictate what I can see. Yeah, there's stuff here that I don't like, so I will call them out on it, or laugh at it and then move on, don't let other people decide and censor things for you! If you see things that you don't like call that person out on it, debate them, or ignore them, make fun of them, but if you can't handle that go back to Reddit where they can decide for you what you should see. If you find yourself not fitting in here, maybe you are that small percentage of society that wants other people to tell you what you should think.

Agree 100%. I can just ignore it, but racism on the front page would keep a lot of average people from signing up, exacerbating the bias, and eventually saidit could end up just like Voat.

I really want to saidit to grow into something like the Reddit I signed up for, and too much of this shit will absolutely prevent that.

Except it hasn't, and it won't, because left leaning people with any kind of self respect can deal with mean words.

I really want to saidit to grow into something like the Reddit I signed up for

Yes, maybe the people who run this website should put a 'block' option for all the liberals who defected here and are still living in their delicate very censored and controlled lives...or you all could learn how to function in the world like the rest of us.

All modern Jews are apostates. They do not follow Yeshua's teachings. They have freewill, however.

That being said, true Jews follow Christ= "The Way."

That doesn't mean we must do harm to them. Conversely we must call out the principalities Of darkness and love God's creation even if it is infected.

Once enough people know about it, they will ignore it and the communities should be self-regulating this way.

Whataboutism is a propaganda technique first used by the Soviet Union, in its dealings with the Western world.[1] When Cold War criticisms were levelled at the Soviet Union, the response would be "What about..." followed by the naming of an event in the Western world.[2][3] It represents a case of tu quoque (appeal to hypocrisy),[4] a logical fallacy that attempts to discredit the opponent's position by asserting the opponent's failure to act consistently in accordance with that position, without directly refuting or disproving the opponent's initial argument.

Everything that I don't like people saying is something that incites violence, therefore those things should all be banned from being said. The best part is that there is no way to prove what speech is causing violence, short of directly planning violence. On that note, your comment made my go hit somebody, so your type of speech will now be banned. Oh and the police will be visiting you soon, since we just passed some new laws against hate speech. I don't want these voat/gab import racists to take over EVERY new platform like they keep trying to do with their racist propaganda. It's as bad or worse than the communists elsewhere. At the VERY LEAST I need to be able to block the propagandists just copy/pasting the same bullshit arguments and same bullshit links over and over again. You do realize that everything that happens, a group "conspired" to make it happen. That church picnic, it didn't just happen, some people "went into a room and planned it". The only question is who, why, what were their motives, etc.

I looked at the first 50 posts that showed up on the front page in private browsing. Three posts mentioning Jews. The first two were complaining about anti-Jewish sentiment. The third post was indeed a conspiracy post.

If this is at all representative of what a visitor sees then it seems that two thirds of the problem, assuming that 6% of posts is an issue, comes from people saying that there is a problem (this post included).

While I’d definitely like to see echo chambers and edgy boy stuff stay out of /all, most of the solution seems rooted in posting the content you’d like to see in /all subs that aren’t culture war topics. Comment in those posts. Upvote then.

So you're going to come in here still wet behind the ears and tell us how to behave on this site? You brought your shills with you I see.

If someone disagrees with the criticism directed towards Jews they are free to argue against it. That is how free speech normally works. Artificially censoring or hiding debate isnt what mature intelligent open minded people do.

You are asking that the content of this site be manipulated by a few people(mods) wielding disproportionate power over the rest of us. In other words what powerful Jews have done to the rest of the media and internet. Thats a nonstarter. Why would we destroy what makes this site attractive in order to appeal to jewish fragility?

Antisemitism is a lot more popular with the masses than you think, it's just normie conservatives that press against it

Most people who will be checking out Saidit are going to be people who were censored off other sites or left because those sites were censoring content they like. Seeing the sort of stuff they know gets censored everywhere else will encourage them.

Wait, we can actually question and talk about the juden here? It's not verboten? Speech is that free? Shit, I'm not driven off. if anything, I'm more willing to give this place a shake.

I don't see any messages that hate on Jews, but I see like 3 whining about anti-Semitism.

I don't want this place to turn into voat any more than anyone else, but I don't care to see it turn into 2020 Reddit either.
