s/all slightly broken

I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this or not. If you try check the top posts on s/all, it throws a gateway time-out error every time.

Thanks there was a server error for a moment that's permanently fixed now, thanks for the report

Thanks OP. Yeah these page loads were timing out at 10s. I increased the timeout for now to stay fully functional.
/u/magnora7 this is the IP2 issue that I have a fix ready to go for. It was easy for me to reproduce last night as a logged out user. on /s/all/fun and /s/all/insightful and /s/all/top you can reproduce it. If you are the first visitor within the last 30 mins or so, you will get a 10s page load. The db/caches are furiously querying trying to find non IP2 posts.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
this is the IP2 issue that I have a fix ready to go for.
By this do you mean increasing the timeout time like you did, or you have another fix?
Hm... it's almost like we need a second database of /all posts that are allowed to be on /all, that could populate itself through postgresql.

The good fix which is like attempt 3 which is ready, is pre filtering out all IP2 posts, on the initial query for fetching /s/all posts (aside from /s/all/new).
the existing 'fetch more' stuff reddit has is good, but it can't account for how huge IP2 is vs the rest of the site. side effect: if you posted to IP2, we'd ideally show that one post in /s/all anyway, but now we can't easily do that. i think it's acceptable and we'll be stoked when all is fast again and always shows a full 100 posts.

Nice, that sounds awesome! How are you accomplishing that exactly?
if you posted to IP2, we'd ideally show that one post in /s/all anyway, but now we can't easily do that.
Oh I wouldn't worry too much about that at all, that's quite the edge-case.
Anyway, it sounds great, I'm excited!

I'll show you the commit when it's done. I'm making AllSR act like AllMinus. One extra query is needed to find out which subs have that one IP2 setting set.
