Anyway, I hope people found this useful, because we have a lot of great features that a lot of people don't know about! If you have any questions ask away and I'll be happy to help.

I'd like to be able to block individual users.

I want to be able to filter out those who spam /conspiracies/ with easily debunked "proofs".

I want to be able to filter out those who spam /memes/ with low effort images with text overlays.

I want to be able to filter out those who spam /podcasts/ with pure links to videos.

You can already block their DMs if they DM you, but we're working on a more general block button, it's near the top of our to-do list

It looks like it's not necessary to have people DM you, only to get a "message" from them, including just a reply comment.

Wow, I just realized that Swartz predicted the jannie menace before it appeared.

He did? What is a "jannie"?

Please mention the "Friends" feature and the "Friends" sub, it allows for content filtering through whitelisting, and not blacklisting (like moderation).

This is useful when you feel like reading less but higher quality content.

The app works way better than Reddit

Thanks for implementation of the day/night mode button. I already wanted to say this last week, but i thought it was not worth a post. And thanks for implementing the double-vote possibility. I really appreciate both.

I've been on this site for almost a year now and this taught me a lot. Thanks.

How does one create a new sub?

[–]Hiya 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

On the home page, on the right of the screen there should be these three white boxes under the search box, the bottom one saying"create your own sub". Click there and customise your sub.

That included some nice features I hadn't noticed before.

I'm not seeing the "mute sub" button/link/whatever?

[–]magnora7[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It only appears in /all and /comments, under each post

A little late to this post, it might be worth mentioning the detailed Markdown Commenting guide in the wiki.

magnora7, I think I forgot to mention to you the other day that I'd overhauled it recently. d3rr seemed impressed. I have a few more minor new things to add.

[–]One_Jack_Move 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

And lastly, if something is funny and insightful, you can vote both at the same time!

Wait, so is the "Fun" button for is something is Fun or Funny? They are kinda different.

I suppose it doesn't matter much; but I hope that when I vote something as Fun, the person who posted it dosn't automatically assume I think it's "Funny". I know we often ironically vote Fun, but usually that is not my intention.

[–]magnora7[S] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's for "fun" technically. It used to be "funny" so I slipped up a bit and used an old phrase. "Fun" is more general

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

I've been considering most non-news and non-political content fun - from entertainment and music to hobbies, trivia, etc. Some of it happens to be funny too.

On occasion some folks will use it as an extra vote to boost it's ranking.
