I believe the pyramid of debate was used for saidit since it was started.

Yup the decision predates the website by quite a few months. When I saw the pyramid of debate, I knew it was something special. 6 months or so later I had the idea to incorporate it in to the website rules as we were first alpha testing it.

This topic (or similar) has come up quite a bit recently.

My guess would be the format of the Saidit forum is a tough nut to crack, so attack plans are being made for a more social approach.

Obviously, I'm speculating.
