What is the history of SaidIt deciding to use the pyramid of debate?

Title. When was the decision made? What was the context in which it was made? What influenced the decision?

I believe the pyramid of debate was used for saidit since it was started.

Yup the decision predates the website by quite a few months. When I saw the pyramid of debate, I knew it was something special. 6 months or so later I had the idea to incorporate it in to the website rules as we were first alpha testing it.

This topic (or similar) has come up quite a bit recently.

My guess would be the format of the Saidit forum is a tough nut to crack, so attack plans are being made for a more social approach.

Obviously, I'm speculating.
