What is the ratio of lurkers (no account), inactive users (have an account but hardly use it to post), and active users on Saidit?

Are active users most of the total users? Sometimes it sure feels like it.

It changes. There are users who come and go. According to our numbers for each upvote you see there are 20 lurkers viewing or so. Lots of people come here to read things but don't have an account yet. If you go to www.saidit.net/comments and read, you'll see there are a large number of usernames. Sometimes people go away for a week or two and come back... sometimes I see people I haven't seen in months. So while saidit is a bit on the small side, there are still a lot of people that come and go. Our numbers also report about 23,000 unique visitors a day, and the average one views 3.9 pages, so we're talking almost 100k pageloads a day. Around 2000 comments a day and 600 posts per day as well on the site as a whole. So there's plenty going on, and it's only growing as more time passes.

I've had an account for a while but rarely visit the site. And most of the time there's just no reason to comment.
