Saidits First Documented Drama - 大下雪

This post documents the current drama which is being played out on Saidit. I am putting it here as I can find a better place for it. It is separated into Acts. You dont need to click on the links as there is a lot of text to wade through for some of them. The actors who will be starring in this drama are:

/u/magnora7, /u/d3rr, /u/JasonCarswell, /u/brer (cameo)

Special Guest Stars: /u/bald_janitor /u/SpaceStoner

So, let us begin dear reader on what I like to call: Saidits first Snow Storm 大下雪

Act 1 - Snow vs The Incels 打下雪

This first Act of the drama happened before I arrived at Saidit. Although most of the posts have been removed by the rogue Incels admin /u/solareclipse essentially what I can piece together from magnora7's post (https://saidit.net/s/Incels/comments/1brg/changes_in_this_sub/), JasonCarswell's post (https://saidit.net/s/Sex/comments/1gqe/insular_incels/), /u/brer (https://saidit.net/s/Incel/comments/1iwq/the_real_reason_why_you_should_not_interact_with/), and Snow's post (https://saidit.net/s/Incel/comments/185t/since_the_incels_sub_banned_me_i_have_to_make/) it seems that Snow was banned due to criticising Elliot Rodgers (and for not being an Incel https://saidit.net/s/Incels/comments/12pw/why_fakecels_cucks_faggots_trannies_soyboys_and/)

Due to being banned, Snow created the /s/Incel sub and uses it to criticise Incels and Incel Ideaology.

Sometime after this, Snow accused bald_janitor with pedophile harassment due to his spamming of an extremely questionable poem. (https://saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/1eu2/pedophile_alertubaldjanitor_is_a_pedophile/) Snow blocks bald_janitor for harassment.

Also around this time, basedaf1 is banned from Snow's subs and creates /s/teachsnowenglish in order to 'help' Snow's English. Snow considers this as a form of harassment.

Act 2 - Graphical Upgrade 大夏雪

With relative peace established, Snow suggests several graphics changes for the website, notably the logo and icons.

Unfortunately.....this would also lead to conflicts with the Admins as Snow would continually ping them with suggestions. Snow would also ping the Admins when anything considered harassment or offensive was found.

Act 3 - Snow vs basedaf1 大俠學

On the 31st of December 2019, /u/basedaf1 posted question asking for clarification about what constitutes paedophilia on Saidit (https://saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/1xh7/the_rules_on_also_no_sexualization_of_children/) . Although the Admins might not have realized it at the time, but this post was an attempt to find out what the limits of Freedom of Speech were on Saidit (https://saidit.net/s/Incels/comments/1xvu/let_the_site_die_please_dont_post_after_this_put/5nfu?context=3) . This question was legitimate and made in good faith. Given the replies in this thread, basedaf1 and the other incels decide to migrate away from Saidit for good.

HOWEVER

Snow thought that basedaf1 was trying to push his own agenda of paedophilia onto Saidit which lead to Snow create an accusatory post which more or less states that basedaf1 was a paedophile (https://saidit.net/s/AskSaidIt/comments/1xnr/is_basedaf1_a_pedophile/)

This is, by definition, harassment to which d3rr agrees (https://saidit.net/s/AskSaidIt/comments/1xnr/is_basedaf1_a_pedophile/5l4o?context=3) although this post didnt cause basedaf1 to leave, it certainly didnt encourage him to stay. With a final sarcastic laden post, basedaf1 left https://saidit.net/s/whatever/comments/1ygq/thank_god_this_place_finally_put_in_a_harassment/ maybe they will return.

So, dear reader, how the wheel turns. How the victim becomes the victor, and those who harassed become harassed. This leads us to the next Act...

Act 4 - Snow vs The Admins 搭下雪

Thus, flush from victory over their hated enemy, Snow began an all out attack on those deemed enemies. A thinly veiled poetic slight of basedaf1 (https://saidit.net/s/UserSnow/comments/1z8g/a_story_of_losers_prose_creation/), a foray into /s/pedogate to further slander his character (https://saidit.net/s/pedogate/comments/1y69/pedophile_alertbasedaf1_admitted_himself_is_a/) finally culminating in the creation of /s/PedoHatersAnonymous to attack both basedaf1 (who had already left) and bald_janitor.

So, dear reader, there is one final Special Guest Star who was not mentioned. That being /s/SpaceStoner. What part did they play? That user has removed all their posts on Saidit. However, we engaged in debate over what constitutes free speech and they were, lets just say, extremely vociferous about the fundamental nature of free speech. It is in this humble authors opinion that this user was some kind of Internet Hitman who had come specifically to cause trouble. She also banned me from her sub for asking why the theme was so bright, Magnora asked her why she did this and according to her it was a "mistake".

I feel honored to have watched this entire thing play out. Looks like he was either banned or deleted his account, I guess he can't use his language barrier as an excuse to play ignorant in order to evade rules anymore. Here's hoping we get another "Snow" some time soon, because content.

Good guys vs bad guys. Aside from asstrolls, most people don't think they're bad when they are, if you can even call some things bad. They're blind or limited to how else they might be perceived. Some people, like incels, don't want to see things in other ways. My Mom doesn't buy 9-11 but won't go deeper with me on anything else.

I suspect there were conflicting ideas in Snow's head, maybe even a few mischievous shit disturbing demons, like anyone, but I suspect Snow honestly meant well and performed poorly. Call me devil's advocate if you like, I prefer skeptic on all things.

"It's not that simple at all." Contrarily I could say, Snow just basically was here to do good and by deleting everything indicated that her feelings were hurt and this bully community doesn't deserve her hard work. Is that true? Who knows.

This gang-up-on-someone culture only tarnishes SaidIt's aims of maintaining elevated discourse. This post was interesting, funny even, and that was one thing. You never know what's going to blow up and what's going to be ignored. But when it becomes a dog pile in the comments it's no longer a whimsical lesson for Snow, pointing out example after example - it's a slaughter. Maybe Tiwaking wanted to butcher Snow, but the tone of the post is a spanking. I've had an example or two of posts trying to teach, and having the whole thing blow up on me with a mob.

IMO, magnora7 took it too far with " Stop lying. " Everyone's honesty is flexible to a degree. Little white lies, etc. No one likes to be called a liar, even if they're caught in one. I didn't see any lying and I know magnora7 has gone overboard in the past. I also know he's got a hellova lot on his plate and bringing discipline to this unruly mob must be no easy feat. On top of that Snow was a legitimate disruptive problem on witch hunts for illusory phantoms, and moderating poorly. I don't know if Snow was actually attacking SaidIt or if that's magnora7 being hyperbolic again at his wits end with another poor choice of a few words, though abstractly direct and to the point well enough.

In short, none of this proves Snow was malevolent. It only illustrates that some of Snow's interactions were disagreeable and disruptive, and IMO immature and impulsive.

Maybe Snow is a 15 year old. Maybe Snow is 35 with autism. Maybe Snow is 55 with half a landmine permanently embedded in her skull. I don't know. Ultimately, because I didn't see direct attacks (doesn't mean they don't exist), I prefer to try to respond with compassion when I'm consciously able. Maybe I'm an idiot too.

I'm still inexplicably banned from /s/Incels for some reason and I demand answers and to be unbanned should I actually ever feel like participating.

I wonder if the bald_janitor is a school janitor, around kids, you know...?

I find it peculiar that Snow who claims to be asexual has such deviant sexual interests and hangups.

Also, for what it's worth, Snow Falling On Cedars is one of my favourite movies, no joke, kind of about an incel. IMO, highly underrated visual poetry with a phenomenal score, wrapped up in a noir mystery.

Some of the future is knowable by patterns through the past.

I, personally, very much dislike pedophile hate, or hate on pretty much any group, for that matter. Criticising someone for rape is one thing, but criticising someone for attraction, even if they don't act on it, is another. I recently read a decent article about that here.

I have always been a big advocate for freedom of speech and freedom of information (mostly in regards to piracy though), and when I was 16, in around January 2018 according to my records, as well as a few years prior to that, I did not think that child pornography should be banned, and was banned from /r/Anarchism in large part because of this. This, combined with the fallout (I got suicidal and went to a mental hospital), was one of the worse stream of events I have experienced. I have a different, more complicated, and less extreme opinion now, but nevertheless the ambiguity of these rules concerns me, as this ban was a major reason I came to this site in the first place. Here is an incomplete, non-updated archive of the ban discussion page which I uploaded a while ago. I also took screenshots of it from RedReader, which are more updated, but which I haven't compiled yet due to reluctance to re-live the events.

On this subject, I generally agree with Richard Stallman, as I agree on a lot of subjects:

I am skeptical of the claim that voluntarily pedophilia harms children. The arguments that it causes harm seem to be based on cases which aren't voluntary, which are then stretched by parents who are horrified by the idea that their little baby is maturing.

Here is another quote that I partially agree with, but to a less intense degree:

The nominee is quoted as saying that if the choice of a sexual partner were protected by the Constitution, "prostitution, adultery, necrophilia, bestiality, possession of child pornography, and even incest and pedophilia" also would be. He is probably mistaken, legally--but that is unfortunate. All of these acts should be legal as long as no one is coerced. They are illegal only because of prejudice and narrowmindedness.

Some rules might be called for when these acts directly affect other people's interests. For incest, contraception could be mandatory to avoid risk of inbreeding. For prostitution, a license should be required to ensure prostitutes get regular medical check-ups, and they should have training and support in insisting on use of condoms. This will be an advance in public health, compared with the situation today.

For necrophilia, it might be necessary to ask the next of kin for permission if the decedent's will did not authorize it. Necrophilia would be my second choice for what should be done with my corpse, the first being scientific or medical use. Once my dead body is no longer of any use to me, it may as well be of some use to someone. Besides, I often enjoy rhinophytonecrophilia (nasal sex with dead plants).

Now I think it would probably be a bad idea to distribute child pornography with no regards to the implications, as some people may have been coerced to produce it. Still, if someone turns 18, then says that naked images of themselves from before then should be able to be redistributed, I see no reason that shouldn't be allowed. Furthermore, I think it is even more ridiculous to prosecute someone for having images of themselves while they are underage, especially if they are tried as an adult. Even that seems reasonable compared to banning fictional images of child pornography, which, although making sense to be banned from sites like Saidit, would be downright thought-policing to implement as law. The supreme court of the US has challenged doing so as unconstitutional, if I recall correctly. I would consider that as being as ridiculous as banning violent video games for promoting violence.

I am not a pedophile myself, by the way, but simply like freedom of information a lot and feel a need to defend most people if they are attacked, even if they are bad people or even my own personal enemies.

Further, "attraction" has a wide open spectrum of meanings.

Sorry to hear about your past troubles.

Theoretically I agree that voluntary activity is not remotely as bad.
However, there are 2 things to consider:
1) Children don't have the wisdom to know not do try some things. I remember being 5 years old and putting my finger on the no-longer-red stove burner to see if it was still hot when black.
2) Half of everyone is stupider than average, and most of the rest are really close to being just average. That means most folks are average or stupider. Sadly they need things carefully spelled out with hard boundaries. Many of the "smart" ones do too.

Here's more grey area for your grey matter:
You just had sex with a female robot then you transfer the CPU to a male robot - does that make you gay? What about a child robot? What about a robot who's prepubescent but with a backstory that he/she's a very very very late bloomer or just naturally under developed? (FYI: Australia tried to ban small-titty porn a while back.)

Somehow I imagine consensual bestiality might be easier to decriminalizel than consensual pedophilia. But I don't like to imagine it too much as it scrunches up my face in wondering, "Just - why?"
