Note that another trial took place at the same time, one which attracted a pronounced DISinterest from CCM (only one US reporter present, from a local paper) - the King family's successful civil suit against unnamed parties in the US government, in connection with the MLK assassation.

"Controlled" was the confusing part. I usually try to use it like this:

corporate "mainstream" media

That way people see it's corporate and their legacy is a joke.
