I think it's just the same here on saidit, because when you delete your own stuff, no karma will get lost - so it's doubtful that content deleted by yourself gets really deleted. Content can be deleted by system admins only, I guess.

Makes sense. Though I would have thought they would keep the banned sub's content in case they get into legal troubles.

For this case they would need prints anyways, because you still have to print out the internet when you want to fight its content irl.

There are plenty ways of archiving a web page, I guess.

That's true. However, you would think the admins would prefer to do so by official means.
