If anyone is confused at what they're looking at, basically this person is whining that an online video game doesn't have enough different flags to represent the LGBTQAI+++ community and that other online video games are doing a much better job and being more inclusive.

This is the problem with valuing cheap virtue signalling over meaningful representation. You place so much importance on the virtue signalling that you stop paying attention to what actually matters.

That's a very good point actually, I hadn't considered that.

However even if actual representation was the issue at hand it would never be enough. If a AAA video game had a gay or lesbian character (The Last of Us?) I have no doubt that there would be shrill calls about why they weren't twans or KwEer enough. If people aren't walking stereotypes it's 'erasure'.

It's not enough to have LGB representation. Remember, "cis" gay men are one step away from the bottom tier of woke politics from heterosexuals. They have to look and be sufficiently queer and oppressed, as well as have a few disabilities, be trans, have wild hair color, be visibly obese, etc.

OP even admits in the replies that the company could make more money if they used more flags. So 'Mikey' is still aware that the more """""inclusive"""""" games are just doing it to rake in more dollars. Mikey needs to shut the fuck up and play a different game if overwatch is triggering her, I mean THEM so hard.

Oh leave Overwatch alone. One of the few media out there with a gay male character that’s very masculine and not a walking stereotype and whose sexuality has no effect on the plot. But considering being gay =\= being special in the Overwatch universe it’s no surprise these people have a problem with it.
