Long-time Reddit user, looking for platforms that don't censor conservative mindset

Reddit was never particularly friendly for conservatives, but at least it wasn't overly aggressive towards us either. Until recently.

I guess the turning point were American presidential elections of 2016. That's when the polarization of Reddit really took shape and discussions started becoming more and more aggressive.

Still, Reddit continued to be the central place for political discussions, but default subs like r/politics became too toxic. And by toxic, I don't mean liberal or leftist, I mean exclusionist. There were still tons of other good subreddits, so I continued to use the website, ignoring the big subs altogether.

But recent developments destroyed everything good that existed on Reddit. Shutdown of virtually every right-wing subreddit, power-hungry mods pretty much everywhere and idiotic corporate leadership of Reddit were too much to take.

After eight years of Reddit, I am done.

Welcome to Saidit! I don't use Reddit, but I did write an opinion piece labeling it the "Cesspool of the Internet". (Also a deleted account took my username lol) I'm not a traditional Conservative, but I am a Conservative, which means I wouldn't be welcomed on a platform like Reddit, which is why I'm here. So far Saidit's been hospitable and I've been able to express myself without persecution. I hope you find a home here as well!

I'm definitely not conservative. I'm classical liberal and since that is incompatible with the authoritarian leftism reddit preaches, I'm not welcome there.

They are striking hammer on their own foot, I predict that by the end of this year there will be hardly any users left on that platform.

      Keep in mind, saidit.net isn't completely free speech. The company providing hosting to us forced saidit to remove a sub. Assholes. But other than that it's pretty good here. So, welcome!

      Yeah I had about 10 years too, I'm not even American but I just got so over the toxic mindset that there's only one way to think about things and everything is curated through a lens that the mods and admins approve for us.

      It went downhill hard but all good things come to an end... Welcome aboard.

      Reddit is like a large cabal where powermods cast a giant net of manipulation. They are probably cases similar to the Grislaine Maxwell one.
