You can cheat on any test, and you can game any test.

I don't know your situation, but a lot of people have cured neurological trouble by switching to a 100% carnivore diet. Such as, but not limited to, autism, depression, bipolar disorder, ADD, ADHD, and others, not to mention health issues as diverse as diabetes, arthritis, and many more.

Bit of a digression, but ketogenic diets (which is what the carnivore diet is, I'm assuming) have been used with success to control seizures in children too young to treat with medication. I always found it interesting that the same medications were prescribed for bi-polar disorder that were used to treat epilepsy, and it makes me wonder if the same neurological pathways are affected there.

To begin with, the assumption that these conditions are only, firstly, or even mostly neurological is not demonstrated. It's only an assumption, just like the one that migraines originate in the brain, while in fact they originate in the liver.

In the case of epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and others, the link between "neurological" and "digestive" is the digestive system's own nervous system which is intricated with both the CNS and digestive systems. Western medicine puts these neat boundaries between systems and organs, when in fact of course, the body is first and foremost a whole.

Ok, so do you think that there's a correlation between digestive flora and these issues as well? A ton of things affect it, afterall.

A shit ton of substances out there that people just take without a second thought can fuck up the body's homeostasis. Ketoconazole, an antifungal, is jnown to affect testosterone levels (and therefore natural immunity) for men. Antibiotics can render hormonal contraceptives useless. I've got a few medical research links about pthalates as well, if you're interested. They're usually dismissed, which is insane.

Yes, there is definitely a huge relationship between the digestive flora, and the nervous system. For starters, serotonin and melatonin are both heavily dependent on synthesis in the digestive tract's nervous subsystem, which is hugely influenced by flora.

And its being ignored is not insane: it is highly destructive, but easy to explain by looking at the profit-driven nature of Western medicine nowadays. It's much more profitable to sell pills than to fix people's diets. Fuck people up enough and you can sell them ethanol, various toxic waste inside tobacco, illegal drugs, pharmaceuticals, and then you can keep on putting synthetic sweeteners, cancer-causing colors and flavors, then spray crops with poison, genetically modify said crops, and so on, and so forth, and people take ever more pills for all the ailments caused by all this shit.

Just the cancer industry, in the USA, is a $ 100,000,000,000 / year business! Just imagine that. When the cure costs $40 a month, but is heavily suppressed.

How does one maintain peak digestive flora? So many herbs and spices can have antibiotic/antiviral/antifungal benefits, but that would affect flora as well, wouldn't it? Even topical applications can have an effect transdermally.

Yes, everything has an effect, except natural ruminant meat. I write natural as opposed to factory-farmed, which can contain glyphosate, hormones, antibiotic residues and the like.

Most plant-based food has antinutrients in it, which negatively affect health and digestive flora. To restore it, I start by using a natural anti-biotic, colloidal silver, to kill away fungi and most of the bacteria, since I know of no way to kill only the bad. Then afterward I use a high quality, full-spectrum probiotic. Coupled with a good (well, carnivore, really) diet, the flora comes back nice and strong even if only a few strains from the probiotic are going to stick around, given the plant-free diet.
