The real question is why bother? You can change your IP address use a different device or VPN or whatever but why? What's the point? Wasted effort for what? Reddit? So you can continue to offend some pathetic basement dwelling neck beard dogwalker theyby mod? Trust me they'll find a way to get offended without your help.

Reddit is dying. They've practically killed the site and it's just shit now. Like most social media. More fun to go outside.

That's what I figured too : it's more hassle than it's worth. I get lots of results in search that are reddit links, so I'll just read it on teddit if I need information.

[–]Alienhunter 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I mean even after you evade the ban, you'll just have to play by their rules anyway so it will suck. Otherwise you'll just get banned again. Complete waste of time to bother with getting around it.

Reddit is probably the absolute worst of the social media platforms at the moment. In terms of censorship, quality of the users, etc. Participating in it makes you stupider by association. You'll have your time sucked up dealing with random bullshit dumbasses and whatnot. Why bother.

I'll read it sometimes still to laugh at the idiots but even that is becoming less and less as the censorious mods lock down most any discussions once they start getting a bit spicy. And they're hemorrhaging real users like a gattling gun victim.

It's all paid shills bots corporate pr accounts etc. They're slowly sterilizing the whole site into just either straight up techno fascist propoganda pieces or bland corporate sales pitches. It's becoming the one thing that is the ultimate evil.

It's boring.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yep, I don't believe their top post views 52k are all human, that's for sure, and only a small fraction goes and makes comments, which are also some bots and shills. There are a lot of neets who aren't the sharpest knives, that's for sure.

[–]Alienhunter 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I mean it's not a stretch to me to assume 52k people have seen the top post. Reddit is still a high trafficked website after all. But there's no reason to assume the upvotes and downvote represent actual user numbers on a one to one basis. Or that the number of comments are all unique persons.

Reddit is in the business of selling add space of course so it's in their financial interests to prime the numbers. Whether or not they actually do that is speculation of course.

Doesn't really matter either way what the exact ratio of bots to idiots is though. Still a waste of time even if it's all one or the other.

What you say may be true, but I think the founders of Reddit would have wanted to avoid it becoming what it has become.

That said, any time the money men get involved and take over, it is inevitable.

They're not dying at all. They're the largest discussion site, period. 10s if not hundreds of millions of users. Huge targeted subs, larger than anything Facebook offers, ideal for targeting people with promotions, getting knowledgeable advice and more. They're a fucking ruthless monopoly and should be split up. They've been absolutely corrupted by absolute power

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It doesn't feel that way. Go into any sub and count the number of commenters in that sub. It's a small fraction of who's viewing it. All social media is like this. Factor in bots, Feds and shills and it gets worse.

[–]Beep 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

10s if not hundreds of millions of users.

Haha, you really think hundreds of millions are people are looking at these posts but only 50 people comment? It's fake.

[–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They have something like a post every couple of seconds, and many people only post a couple of times a year so the figures more or less work out. Compare that with Saidit where you're lucky to get one post an hour

I need to use Reddit to get customers.

I don't think Reddit does bans by IP because my gf still has her account. Fonts, browsers, canvas fingerprints etc are irrelevant, I tried using different devices with different browsers and was still tracked.

How and what you write is a fingerprint all of its own. Humans can recognize people by their writing, computers can too.

        [–]LarrySwinger2 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

It's as simple as clearing your cookies.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

        It's absolutely fucking NOT

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

You need a new device and a new ip. You cannot connect through TOR, either. They threw up captchas at me constantly when I did that. You also have to enable Javascript in the browser and cookies. This is how they fingerprint your machine. No java means reddit no worky. You cannot use that same vpn now that they've ID'd you.

        [–]Vulptex 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

That won't work. Even using a different real network on a completely different device doesn't work. I seriously think they might have some metaphysical abilities because there's no way this should be possible.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Have you tried it? I was able to post under tor and I think it stuck, I just had to enable cookies and js. The captchas were ridiculous though. You also need to use a different email address, like make a temporary email from 10 min mail.

        [–]Vulptex 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It works for a day or two but then it's usually gone, and everything is removed.

        [–]Alienhunter 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You are getting shadow banned. Reddit hands out shadow bans like crazy to new accounts.

They have no way to tell it's you, they are just going off of activity. Use it like a regular person, one or two posts a day. And just post banal milk toste shit that will get up voted so you won't trigger the downvote shadowban and it will probably stay up.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

        Interesting. That's some sophisticated shit.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I did use a new device though, with VPN. I think they don't do it by IP, my gf still has her account just fine. But I'm sure they use VPN lists to penalise accounts that use them with timers, extra captchas and shadowbans. I don't even think using the same IP or VPN is a problem. Its fucking as if they have access to the camera and use AI to identify your image or something at that level of debauchery

        [–]Vulptex 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

I don't know how. Literally even try creating a count on someone else's device, using their network, where you've never logged into any of your accounts before, and never use that new account on any devices or networks you've used reddit on before...and it'll be banned shortly. And by an automod.

This being the case they must have access to information from the matrix itself. There's no other possible explanation for how they're able to do this.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They could have locked down automod to paranoid levels. They get screenshotted to troonytunes Twitter feed all the time. I think they might just be irrationally paranoid.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm guessing they do some really dirty shit like hack into your camera and use AI to identify you, or use AI on your words and the subs you join or something, or typing cadence or stuff like that??

        [–]Vulptex 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Even empty accounts get hit. And when it happened to me all my webcams were covered up.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Dammit. Covering web cams was going to be my next thing to try. Thanks

        [–]neolib 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

But even when I used a VPN and a different device, they tracked me while using old.reddit.com in a browser

Could it be that you use Chrome on both devices with sync on? I mean that means cookies are synced too.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Nope, didn't log in to the browser with the same credentials. Cookies were fresh

        [–]neolib 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

It's better to explicitly clear cookies for reddit.com via browser settings, theoretically they can store some user ID there even if you are not in logged-in state.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

But if you change device and browser, it can't be cookies that they use to track you. I've created 20 accounts clearing cookies and they always end up banned within 2 weeks

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Ok, what are you saying to people? They're watching your post history, and subs you go into and subscribe to.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, could be. But I tend to join different subs between accounts. And my content isn't that similar between accounts, surely, that they could use it to fingerprint me??

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If they're installing Java and cookies, they'll know something. Also, if you're on a phone and using an app that will tell them stuff. Apps are basically 24/7 surveillance software.

        [–]neolib 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

That's why I asked about syncing and Chrome - if you log in to google/gmail you are automatically logged in Chrome itself (if you won't switch this shit off in settings), which synchronizes bookmarks/history/cookies between devices.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I used a different device entirely for Gmail etc

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If they finger print your machine, they'll save that information. They'll have your IP address, internet provider, phone or computer hardware address, and anything else within reason. Also, they're probably tied into the deepstate somehow, who can see way more.

Facebook, Reddit and Google are the worst.

        [–]jerkwad152 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

        Stop obsessing over reddit. Shite.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I can't effectively market stuff anywhere else. Facebook is a bit useless (and their interface fucking sucks) and other social media just isn't appropriate or easy to promote things. Quoras inappropriate, can't post links in Instagram or Snapchat, can't get followers in twitter, tiktok is shite. It's all fucking bollocks

        [–]dissidentrhetoric 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

        uninstall reddit

        [–]dissidentrhetoric 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

surely they just ban anyone who posts spam and as you post spam you keep getting banned

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No I keep getting banned firstly, mainly, because they keep tracking my old banned accounts to my new ones and do me for ban evasion. But sometimes I get banned from a sub for shitposting or not following anal rules, then I mouth off at the mods and they ban me for harassment. But I haven't been banned from anything for promotion. Not once. Compared to 20 times for ban evasion because they fucking track me somehow

        [–]Brewdabier 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I understand the need to use reddit, look for subs regarding brewing, cycling, a phone or a game like Dayz. there is none, I still use reddit as if has what I want. Saidit needs more useful subs and not the mindless tabloid magazine crap.

        [–]Tarrock 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They're hitting you via your network card id on your devices or your browser id. Instead of wasting your time on reddit, how about contacting your congressmen and get them on crackdown on section 230 and big tech?

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Like one person can make a difference

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

        For what sub?

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

        Site wide

        [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

I have millions of comment karma.

When they started locking shit down, it’s near impossible to start commenting again. I can’t go more than a few days without a site wide ban. Like you can’t browse Reddit normally again.

Even if I use a VPN and a new IMEI (device). I get banned almost immediately by just the way I talk.

Once you realize it’s bull shit, it’s very hard to behave on Reddit.

For example, Reddit is openly racist with black people twitter, where they verify if you are a nigger to post comments. It’s a toxic disgusting place.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

So they're doing AI analysis on the way you write? I left reddit after a ban, and then months later I made a new account, and one day I got an email message from someone who commented on an old post from my old account.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Ah. Possibly. But Heres what is more likely:

there’s government officials with what’s called super user access. They can flag accounts, for other people to look at. One like from them counts as hundreds or thousands, I’m willing to bet they can control how much a like from them counts as. Other user functions, like one click shadow ban.

But, more importantly, they have like alarms for certain words or AI that flags stuff based in topics.

Once you start noticing shit, and saying stuff, you just can’t stop. Once your sick of Reddit, you just can’t behave to conform any more. And they ban people based on ideology and non conformity.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I think problem children on the site are all finger printed and data analyzed, and all of that happens automatically and is stored under a profile. Then, there are admins, contractors, mods and glowies who have access to that database, and can see your entire history on the site through many accounts.

They also have paid trolls who target problem children who will try to bait you into getting banned. Even if you're professional about it, they will at least shadow ban you when you tell em the truth without violating the rules. That is what happened to me.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes. I agree. They for sure have profiles based on IMEI and IP. Which is what I think you mean by fingerprinted profiles. They for sure do that.

And yes, I agree they have paid trolls that get at you.

They also have something called super user accounts, that give extra controls, like upvotes, Reddit coins, shadow banning, and stuff like that.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I got targeted one time after posting a meme telling people to turn off their distractions and pay attention to real conspiracies in r/conspiracy. I had 5 accounts down voting and trolling me. Then they were sending me pm messages after that.

What got me banned is when I confronted a German shill who told me my beliefs were a fraud. I looked through his entire post history, and he was never in that particular specialty sub before. I told him this and said that his opinion didn't mean anything, because he knew nothing about the sub he was in. Ten minutes later, every single comment was being hidden on all my subs.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

r/conspiracy became a forum for babysitting conspiracy theorists. Like a big circle jerk that keeps everyone in check.

Unfortunately, that’s what said it has felt like lately. What’s the point of real news being on here if only us 15 people see it?

It’s like a fenced in area for geniuses.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah wtf is it with r/whitepeopletwitter

        [–]loves2smootch 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Why the fuck would you join Reddit?

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There are sane people in some smaller specialty subs that are good. Most the site is a cesspool. Anything remotely political is astroturfed. Any big sub is heavily watched.

        [–]RaverJodes[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's only the largest fucking discussion site on the net. Alternatives are fucking shit. Dead as fucking dodos
