For a long time I have been seriously wondering if as a species we have put too much emphasis on social progressivism in our societies to the point that its actively preventing us from achieving a significant scientific break through that could allow us to escape our own species extinction by colonizing not only mars but other planets. I am probably way off base here but I cant help but think about how much money gets wasted on sociology related studies when we could be putting it into research and development of technology to make space travel feasible. I think humanity will likely doom itself because of its own insignificant socially focused ideologies. It feels like we are hampering our potential to flourish. Too many of us focus to hard on only immediate social issues instead of looking at the bigger picture or looking forward. I hope I am wrong but we will likely go extinct because of our species inability to stop thinking about social shit and start focusing on what really matters. Clapping Alien cheeks.
