Donald Trump realized this and that’s why the military industrial complex targeted him. Imagine hating Trump so much that you’d risk another world war just to get him out of office after basically forfeiting the War in Afghanistan. Imagine still being afraid of Russia when they haven’t been a communist country in 30 years!

Some people don't want to spend their workdays in over-cooled concrete boxes dominated by cackling, dick-jealous harpies.

That said, the military isn't completely immune to that problem.

Some are idealists, others are looking for a steady income where the only requirement is following orders.

I actually get along pretty well with military guys and have spent a bit of time around them. It's just a job to most of them, they're not all gung ho, just putting in a work day like anyone else, although if they don't show up to work they go to jail.
