Which is better: uBlock Origin or Ad Nauseam?

I'm mostly interested in denying ad revenue to shitty companies.

uBlock blocks ads and scripts. Ad Nauseam disrupts tracking by clicking on every ad. Which is more annoying for websites and ad networks?

uBlock Origin does more than block ads. It blocks scripts also, and is very effective when you add custom domain lists to it. You can search for what you want to block and add it to uBO lists.

Do you think Ad Nauseam could be more inconvenient for ad networks though? I don't want to give Google any support, that's the main reason I ask.

Pi-hole! Set up a pi hole. It blocks ads, trackers and much more. 25% of the requests through my Pi hole get blocked. Way more than any adblocker and you won’t get the annoying “we see your using an adblocker” pop ups.

It’s a 50 dollar investment and 15 minutes of your time that will change your browsing experience and protect your privacy way more than any browser plug in ever would.

Perfect! I use Pi-hole as well for my entire network. Blocks ads on all my devices - my phone, my TV, my computers. etc. It's a beautiful thing.

Pi-hole combined with uBlock Origin makes for a clean browsing experience.

Exactly. My Samsung smart tv tries to phone home over 1000 times a day. The amount of data harvesting is absurd.

I have no idea what Ad Nauseum is, but I've been a uBlock Origin user for years. My setup is uBlock, AdBlockPlus, a few extensions to stop autoplay videos, flash, animated gifs, a video downloader so I can quickly dl anything I like on YT, Vimeo, etc in mp4 or 320 mp3 format, xCut so I can always save screenshots or parts of screenshots, extensions that show me image paths, Nimbus video recorder, Reader View for Chrome, and a few other things. I haven't seen an ad on the internet since 2009, as far as I'm concerned the internet is ad-free.

Use AdNauseum.

Bot clicks make Google lose cash

And discredits them.

Hm... So use Brave, and ration out your rewards to website you like through BAT tokens.

Brave and TOR are the only browsers I use.

Technically speaking – both are the same. Ad nauseam brings added benefit of messing around with ads. Both solutions do require some fine tuning.

      They used Brave as the base for their browser, then they rename it and moved to Ungoogled Chromium.

      I use both.
      Throw in Privacy Badger for good measure.
      There are always sites where one catches the leftovers of the other.
