What's your paranormal or "glitch in the matrix" moment?

Mine isn't scary or exciting, but one time a bird managed to get inside my house through both layers of a closed window. The outside was the screen, and the inside was solid glass. Neither part had any openings we could find, and I never figured it out. First it was panicked flapping around inside the window, and then it was panicked flapping around inside the house. My dog went apeshit.

Great thread btw.

So I'm a pretty organized person and I have a lot of tools. Multiple times I will enter my shop to look for a specific drill or tape or whatever. It wont be in its place or on the bench....so I think "must have left it in the garage...its the only other place it would be."

I'll head over there and nope, not there either. I'll head back to the shop only to find the tool pretty much in plain sight like on the bench where i thought it would be...

This happens so often I will take time now to make sure the tool is not some place obvious but still it happens time and time again ... its like the matrix is forgetting to load in all my tools and dosen't want a pop up so I have to leave before it will load.

I know people are just thinking I'm blind and not paying attention, but I swear it happens so often I really give it an above average look over.... still I leave and come back and bam.... find it right away....

I'll write it as a list, so I won't write a wall of text.

  • 3 friends and me at my house. 2 of them brothers. No one else at my house.
  • The brothers had permission to stay at my house until 10 pm.
  • We were watching cable TV movies (strictly scheduled). All my friends left my house when the movie ended at 10 pm.
  • I followed them to the street door and the brothers' father was already waiting for them at their house's door (we all lived in the same street, about 30 meters apart)
  • I went to my house again when they entered their house. Never lost sight of them.
  • I went back to watch the 10 pm movie at my house.
  • Next day, the brothers say they were scolded for being late. His father was waiting for them at their door because it was 11 pm already.
  • They verify it's indeed 11 pm. All their clocks are at 11 pm and the TV shows are on schedule.

To this day we still tell that story at parties, since we don't have any type of explanation to this.

I praied for a angel and i saw one. When i lost a bit of faith in god i asked for a new wonder. Afterward i was in a christian meeting whit other teenagers and some adults we talked about esoteric things wonders and such. We praied and 2 people fainted away out of nowhere they laied on the ground and laghted not because it was funny they still laied on the ground whit eyes closed. I began to cry then whe said the famous lords praiers and while i was crying i felt the power of those words through my whole body. One could say the people who fainted away where just actors but i knew those tenagers a bit and they would never do something like this we werent in a cult or something just a smal church. I had those moments in other places when we praied and i and friends cried out of nowhere. Its weird to describe but i feel like renewed happy and like a invisible good clean feeling visits you. Once when i was in my shower out of nowhere it felt shortly like i fell like a meter deeper whit the flor was weird af but prob just because i just woke up.

Mine is not a moment or an instant but an accumulated sense over time.

After thirty years of being an adult, meeting random people, and people watching, I am increasingly noticing that there are far fewer "individuals" than I once thought. I find myself seeing "the same face" I have seen before often. And these are not people I know. They are just faces in a crowd. But it seems to me now that the seemingly random faces of strangers repeat far more often than I would expect. Perhaps I am actually seeing the same people again, but perhaps there is a limited number of faces built into the system, and after a time, they are recycled?

This just happened to me. I posted on 4chan "dinosaurs are based" came back later to check the thread now my post is "dinosaurs are based desu" I'm absolutely sure I didn't say "desu"

So yeah 😅 not much but still.

It's pretty common for joke boards to have some kind of filter that can modify text, I'm not sure about that one in particular though.
