maybe the reason people want nothing to do with you is not due to a “phobia” but simply because normal people find you fucking exhausting to deal with.

That was what pushed me over the "peak trans" moment. Actually I had several of those moments hit people I was friends with and 1 or 2 with me. It's like at every opportunity they find some way to make you not want to interact with them.

Richard Dawkins convinced me that Christianity was a lie. Now I'm seeing him talk about how being transgender is a lie and that we're insane. He's a biologist so he knows what he's talking about. It's funny that in the comments some people are defending him but others are using the minor support he gave to JKR as evidence of how evil he is. JKR is like their unholy grail despite her being quite reserved in her criticism.

The problem is narcissism. These people don't realize that as long as they hate themselves and keep trying fake identities to convince people to like them that they can never have a normal healthy relationship because the other person will always either be 1) attracted to the fake version of them [a chaser] or 2) in love with the actual them, which runs at odds with their super fake trans persona [a transphobe]. Obviously no one can ever love them "as a trans person" since trans is fake and that identity is phony.

They have set it up so there's no way to win. These people are professional victims.

Excellent summary.

Though you discuss death by 'gas', I think another item can be included as a line item that addresses specifically:

The outbreak of typhus in the winter of 1941-42 resulted in the use of Zyklon B to fumigate prisoners. Although a standard argument about this is that "a catastrophic typhus epidemic in the winter of 1941–2 coincided with the search for a mass killing method for human undesirables.", one could of course argue that delousing was necessary, and not attempted murder. And if we consider the period of 1940-45, Zyklon B is considered to have killed "approximately 1.1 million people in gas chambers installed at Auschwitz-Birkenau, Majdanek, and other extermination camps.", not the much higher numbers often suggested. Moreover, typhus killed 3 million in Russia during WWII, and several million in Poland and Eastern block countries. Add to that the millions killed in the same countries during WWI. So, how did the other ~5 million Jewish prisoners die? The logistics are difficult to calculate, though I appreciate that there are maps with numbers of the dead, I think it's still difficult to understand them. And how many non-Jewish prisoners died? I don't doubt the Holocaust, or the genocide of Jews, but the account of it should be corrected with the appropriate numbers.

Nope. Islamic Terrorism has been the single obstacle to peace in that reason and been the cause of all this suffering. This war is just the latest in a long line. Eradicating fundamentalism of any kind is the only solution to achieving stability. If there were no Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthi rebels, the world would be a better place. What good have they ever done for themselves or anyone else? And where are all the other religious fundamentalists? Where are the religious terrorists?

ICC seeks arrest warrants against Sinwar and Netanyahu for war crimes over October 7 attack and Gaza war: "Khan said the ICC is also seeking warrants for Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as two other top Hamas leaders — Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al-Masri ... and Ismail Haniyeh" by neolib in WorldNews

Anshel Pfeffer (Haaretz):

2 most important points in ICC prosecutor’s request for warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant are his emphasis on causing starvation and the fact that there’s no warrant against IDF generals. For now it is primarily about the political level and its blocking of supplies to Gaza>

Gallant who spoke of a “total siege” and of course other ministers totally brought this upon themselves. The siege and the lack of any humanitarian plan alongside the battle plans gave the ICC a much easier decision than if it had only concentrated on Israeli military moves.

Interesting that the ICC prosecutor starts his statement with the warrants against Hamas leaders and that in their case both military and political levels are being accused. There was concern in Israel that IDF Chief of Staff Halevi would also be targeted but no mention of him.

BMJ Journal Investigates Ties Between Drug Regulators and Big Pharma [PDF]

The prestigious BMJ medical journal has raised alarm about cosy financial relationships between former commissioners of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the pharmaceutical industry they once regulated. The BMJ probe found that after leaving the FDA, some former chiefs took lucrative positions at drug companies or maintained investments that enmeshed them with the same industry they were previously tasked with objectively overseeing.

These entanglements, the journal argues, represent glaring conflicts of interest that could erode public confidence in the FDA's independence when approving new drugs and medical devices worth billions to pharmaceutical firms. The BMJ is using its editorial freedom to call for stricter ethics rules to wall off FDA leadership from potential industry influence that could put profits ahead of patient safety. See also:

The British accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has published a new report evaluating the status of green hydrogen projects worldwide. Green hydrogen, as a reminder, is hydrogen produced by splitting water using renewable energy. Green hydrogen could be used as energy storage or to directly power vehicles. In some countries, it is regarded as an essential part of the clean energy transition. At the moment, almost all hydrogen (> 95%) worldwide is produced from methane instead.

You can see the summary of the PwC report in the figure which contrasts plans for 2030, in light pink, with reality, represented by the black dots. The dots are kind of hard to see because they’re so small. To give you some numbers, the European target for 2030 is 120 GW in installed capacity. Operational at the moment are 0.2 GW. It is beyond me how anyone can believe that green hydrogen is going to save the day.

Growing Evidence for a Higgs Triplet

A group of physicists just published an arXiv paper in which they present 4.3 σ evidence for a Higgs triplet – in other words, the Higgs-boson would not just be one particle but actually a set of three. That’s approximately 99.75% confidence that the signal is not a statistical fluctuation. However, the analysis is a combination of 12 different types of measurement, none of which has particularly high statistical significance on its own. While such measurement combinations are not necessarily wrong, there are many possible such combinations, and that makes it difficult to interpret the statistical significance.

Almost certainly the case. Trouble is Dawkins has been utterly clear that trans is bullshit.

He has also annoyed a lot of people by saying that cultural Christianity has benefits and he considers himself a cultural Christian (which is something he said in The God Delusionalmost twenty years ago). The reason the US was successful is because Americans believed in freedom. By ignoring history and supporting tyranny, Americans have joined the dark side.

Why did the USA fight Nazis to become Nazis?

Why did the USA fight Commies to become Commies?

If tyranny is wonderful then why do people try to escape from North Korea?

Tyranny failed in the USSR, Germany, and Cambodia so why are Americans embracing it?

Those who are defending tyranny are selling chains and failure.

Americans say that they love freedom, but when the elites push debt, wars, and the police state, Americans agree with the 1% that the USA needs more debt, war, and tyranny.

Insanity.

It must be nice that you don't have to call it a special military operation anymore, because it's kind of a stretch to have a front line, but not count it as a war.

Does the government care (e.g. arrest you) if you share your opinion on such a fringe website or do they only care when you reach large audiences (like Twitter/Facebook/etc.)?

Did they care about you talking to your friends or do you then also have to tip toe around exactly what you say? I mean, I can imagine they only care when you actually pick up a sign or shout on the streets.

In principle, the government could just arrest you for sharing 'intelligence' (pictures of a street).

Does the Russian government arrest tourists for ransom or just plain fun (e.g. to rape pretty girls like the Saudis do)?

Do you even still have something resembling a government or is it thugs all the way down? I mean, someone still needs to manage to replace a street sign in a city.

The school is repurposing all of (the DEI offices, of which there apparently were many) into a sole “Student Success and Engagement” program, though that name isn’t definite yet, Mortensen said.

“There will be navigational coaches and student engagement program managers who are open to all students, without an assignment to a particular identity, to really help make students navigate their college experience,” he added.

See, this actually makes sense. Allow everybody the chance to get extra help if they want it. If a black individual finds that they're struggling more, then let that person ask for more help without bringing their skin colour into it. Same opportunity for every student, regardless of their race. Not only will it be fair, it will also be far less condescending than the DEI method of saying "there there, inferior black - we've got a special daycare just for your kind".

It presents a biased picture of the findings of the survey.

End Wokeness cherry picked part of the survey in order to spin it. Supporting my GGGP comment "End Wokeness" isn't going to have an unbiased analysis.

The propaganda machine pushes for war and the theft of resources

Overly simplistic. The propaganda machine controls the public perception, sometimes to popularize war but more often for other purposes. In this case Elon Musk made himself an enemy of the kleptocrats by championing free speech. So the kleptocrats have turned their propaganda machine against him. When people like you attack Elon musk with convoluted arguments that is a participation in that propaganda. It is not rational to paint Space x as the bad guy responsible for "stealing money to build rockets people can't ride". That is a very stupid thing to say. Space x is saving tax payers billions while advancing rocket technology for the human race. Taking one of the great things Elon Musk has done and trying to spin it as a negative is the height of propaganda.

I am against the rich stealing from the poor.

If that were true you would be posting about the Federal Reserve, or the many ways the stock market is manipulated, or the bailouts, or the covid scam. Instead you are trying to spin Elon Musk saving the public billions of dollars as theft. Ass backwards bullshit.

SpaceX has the word "dragon"

word association is low brow propaganda. It means nothing. The name of the bill that takes away your constitutional rights is literally called the Patriot Act.

What horseshit. They just want to have it both ways so they get to be the victim no matter what.

If you require an instruction manual for people to interact with you and will find fault with everyone else no matter how far they bend backwards in order to appease you….maybe the reason people want nothing to do with you is not due to a “phobia” but simply because normal people find you fucking exhausting to deal with.

I'll probably stay where I am, in America.

When a country collapses, you usually see a lot of violence in the big cities. I don't live in one of them.

Moving to China would be a mistake. It's on the brink of collapse right now. It has a huge problem with its population pyramid.

It sounds like the US Navy is worried.

One of the consequences of the US falling behind on technology and manufacturing, it will be harder for the US to maintain leadership (ex: the first nation to do xxx military or technological feat).
